We pride our selves on being a small private guild whom typically mind our own business and mix Role play with gaming efficiency and team work. How ever, friday night the 18th the guild leader, Vylia and I were a bit bored so we decided to take on a challenge. Rainbow in the dark, where the torch is min level 14. Well our fearless leader being only lvl 13 (tr'd from cleric to favored soul) and I a 15th level monk (tr'd from monk first life) found out the hard way that the mission got all that more fun when the monk has to carry the torch.

So, switching between torch, handwraps/stancing every time we had to fight we ended up completing it with no deaths and plenty left over. On normal difficulty of course since first time back in the vale since previous life. We then moved onto interestingly enough the coal chamber on normal again with no deaths and plenty of sp and health to spare.

Enjoy some screen shots ^_^

Too often we hear the epic tales of those whom are near the maximum potential and what of the difficult missions that every one had to group up for and throw in the elbow grease to get through? Where the resources are short and easily worn thin. Its often by the skin of one's teeth that we scraped by our first time through these jobs given to us by the poor citizens of storm reach for they're too lazy, or too weak to do them themselves.

Tear, solo'd with my own efforts, normal difficulty with out a hireling and able to get all six tears and all possible optional jobs. 15k xp for lvl 7 and no deaths. Enjoy some screen shots.

Not many of you guys know us, which is perfectly cool. I'm hoping those who do know us know enough about the players to see the meaning of our guild.

"It takes all types" They say, prism is proud to have survived one full year of ddo with out the drama and crashing out that most other guilds have. Our rough patches always remained internal and swiftly reconciled by good communication.

As a guild that is mostly about rp rather than the power play aspect of ddo, some of the players in our guild do enjoy a mixture of the two.

Recapping the year it started with Rivven, an alt of mine when Vylia (the guild leader) got together and just bought the guild thingy, we came up with the name of the guild based on the diversity we were aiming for with in our guild. We've had many people come and go through out the time here, as many know some people just stop playing, or can no longer continue to play because of their real life situation. We understand both of course.

Now we hold strong with a handful of members whom are often duo'ing or three-manning quests even though theres a steady six or so players. Hard to keep track with all the alts xD.

Thanks for holding together guys, and thanks Orien for letting us torture you ^_^

Screen shot or it didn't happen!!!......... oh wait....

Veriden and Vylia are great people, i remember my first run in the vale and Veriden was in the group, it was all i could do to keep up with him and he was killing everything!! We then did Rainbow and i think i managed to steal a kill off him :)

But a bit of advice Veriden, next time we run the mabar event, put some clothes on, it gets chilly in the graveyard lol

Thanks every one ^_^ Guyo and Golemus its always a learning experience when I'm running with you guys. A lot like Dynacel I've learned quite a bit by watching how you guys play. Both of you are highly respected players in my book, and its a huge compliment to hear such things from you, thank you.

Farflame, always one of my favorite clerics to run with, have a hard time not laughing and having a good time even on the more stressful raids when you're around. ^_^ That mabar even was awesome, I was on strike from repairing everything for a couple of days just to see how long it would take to break it all. Sadly, the shops didn't bat an eye when they were charging me 3.2k gp in repairs -.- bastages! anyways, thanks guys xD

About doing rainbow in the dark & torch - since you had FVS with you - all he had to do is get AoV pre and summon archon - it provides enough light to do the quest.

this thread was necro'ed. look at the original post date. and look at the screenshots. guild name follows the old naming convention of <Leader, Prismatic People> instead of the <guildname ##> it follows now. altho you are absolutely right... NOW it is possible for a FvS to BE the torch. :D

that being said, the screenies are still impressive accomplishments in my mind, and Prismatic People are good people. i've run across em here and there, and they never disappoint in terms of quality of play, and quality of character.

Yeah I was about to ask that. AoV II is ML 12 for a favored soul, right? Every run of Rainbow I did on my FvS we didn't even equip the scepter, just used the archon.

I suppose they just wanted the challenge of fighting in the dark, haha!

It is well known on the Orien server that Prismatic People and Veriden in particular beat puppies and torture kittens in rituals to the Dark Gods. When asked if these rituals helped them during quests, Veriden was heard to reply, "It sure didnt hurt..."

My weekly rituals to the evil loot gods have brought me much in wealth. For each kitten shaved and kicked and each puppy that gets it's tail burnt off I get a +3 loot bonus chest.

As to the rainbow in the dark, it was done a long time ago.

So, I'm going off of my own fvs build having tr'd Xevic from cleric 17/monk 3, so far I'm liking the new build more than his previous one. To challenge my self I decided to take my superior brilliance 5 long sword, 9 potions from his previous life and went to fight Sin from mired in kobolds. Divine punishment not impressive damage at lvl 11 favored soul 2 monk but I was able to twiddle her down eventually using 3 pots. thats about 10 pots less than what it took to kill her in a pug in his previous life at this level.

Don't mind the hotbars, I play on an xbox360 controller, easier to manage with the limited spell selection that the fvs gets.

Enjoy a screeny

Its a game, its meant to be fun. There is no lasting damage if you don't succeed and its the attempt that makes it challenging and fun. :D Good luck!

Ok, most people probably won't find this half as funny as I do, so I'll give a little background for the mood before I post this next screen shot.

I know I'm not the only person on Orien, let alone the servers to go sixty completions on dq with out pulling the torc or winning a roll on it. Its frustrating to just about every one with a blue bar. Now, from what I've been told the torc and the conc-op gs don't stack so I was gathering materials for a conc-op helm and not till last night did I manage to get the last large stone I needed so I'm all excited to make my helm (never mind the 15 more completions I need to wear it and my sp cloak). This is about three months in the making this one helm. (naming b/c no one wants my bones or chains or horns for the other materials that I need. Pulled from Airethas, Ashayian, Veriden, and recently Xevic as he's newly reflagged for shroud with less people complaining about his monk splash as a healer (the only quest I really heal by choice aside from hireling times)) I'm all excited and figure I'll make a goal for Xevic, to have a base ac of 60 (with his current build I've calculated he can get 63 with a couple epics) before buffs. For that though I needed my necklace spot for the upcoming buff to a few epic items, the necklace from a small problem is getting a +3 bonus to dodge which stacks with tharask hound bracers and icy ramients with +8 armor bonus from epic siren's belt.

Now that the wall of text is laid all those plans were set in motion and will remain in motion as one of the character goals...and this happens when least expected.

Gratz on the Torc......make the helm and wear them both, they do "Stack" in a sense that they will both proc at the rate they would normally independant of the other. The Torc proccs more often, but the Con-Op items procs enough to be usefull, and the Temp HP's are nice.

BTW.......same boat w/sorc....alot of runs...never seen one.

FvS....pulled on 2nd run :O

Two weeks ago I had 1 non-event epic item, the siren's belt, how ever I had a ton of important items one part shy of making them epic (and still a handful of items with in grasping range of completing to fullfill my goal.) I've got a goal to reach ac 85 with just self buffs and ship buffs. Its a completely possible goal. In the past week I've made: Staff of nat gann, helm of frost, charged guantlets, scorched bracers all epic, tonight I made my time sensing goggles putting me at 2 items shy of my ac goal. The envenomed cloak or the boots of corrosion. (though I plan on making both eventually so I can wear my natural armor +5 pirate hat instead of helm of frost) and the epic siren's charm for the insight +4 to ac so I can use my dodge +3 sov rune.

A screen shot to show my progress:
http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa4/Rikendesol/ScreenShot00045.jpg

Do note that I have a completely different plan to go with for offensive super dps mode even though I lose about 20 ac. I'm 3 items shy from that goal, encrusted ring (and 7 trophies then again I need something like 27 trophies to fill out all the rings I want filled out. (1 on Xevic, 2 on Veriden) The other two pieces of the abashi set and a bunch of dungeon tokens to fill out the slots as needed. I should have 2d12+32 base unarmed damage before extras from tod rings(holy and shocking bursts) handwraps(banes/holy/anarchic/axiomatic/vicious/w.e.) Its not super great compared to a lot of people on our server but I think it'd at least be impressive compared to most other monks on our server.

I know this seems like a braggart post, but for so long I've had these goals and I can't help but feel some sense of pride that my work is finally baring fruit. :)

Here on Orien a lot of people have run across us, a few ever pugged with us. And fewer still would repeat it ^_^; We're a proud small role play based guild whom tend to keep to our selves mostly but on November 23rd we had been active for two years. Not very long according to how long the game has been up and running. How ever it seems there are fewer and fewer of the server's older guilds still playing on that guild.

So in celebration I bring you a few screen shots to enjoy, and happy new years and such.
Shame we can't get this xp bonus on live
