Hello DDO Playerbase! I just had an unfortunate thing happen....my wife's bank made a mistake on her card which caused my account to be canceled. Now, my account is prompting me to make F2P changes and the bank cant fix their mix up until Monday (probably).
Are there other options to get back to VIP? (We have no other credit/debit cards)
If I spend a weekend playing F2P, does that affect my VIP account status in any way?
Thanks for any helpful/non trolling posts.

You should not be Free to Play, you should be premium....a couple of differences but still. I think throwing yourself on the mercy of the DM, or customer service is your best bet. For the weekend though playing the game as premium should not hurt anything, you just wont have many quests available to you. I hope you were not on a promotional price plan because when you sign back up for VIP you will be at the most current price. I know because something similar happened to me, so I just stayed premium rather than go back to paying 15.00 per month. Good luck.

look at the bright side, while waiting for the bank to fix the foul up you can
always buy some content while waiting for the account to go back to vip.
should ease the eventual upgrade to premium :)
seriously, with the current promotion and the bonus tp for a $50 purchase, I think it pays
more to be a premium member than a vip. if you're on the 6 month sub (anniversary special) you
get more points from that than you will for paying for 6 months. and that includes the 1000 pt bonus
for summer.

Thanks alot for the info, gents. Yes, I am obviously Premium. I didnt know what to call it because it was cutting my slots and asking me if I wanted to buy my WF and Monk toons.
I guess I wont hold off until Monday (thankfully) to play the game if it wont affect anything in-game to play premium for a couple of days. Xanvar, this is the second time the bank (same bank) has done this...last time actually DID affect promotional pricing. I think Im "safe" this time. I wish there was something I could cry to customer service about, but the bank has admitted the mistake and so it has nothing to do with Turbine or their kind associates. Ill save my venom for the mobs....for now. ;)
Thanks again for the help!

Maybe look into getting your own card? ;) Another option being setting up a pre-paid type of cred card.
