So running a von 5/6 elite on my lvl 13 bard last night actually just kinda took it over as the leader sounded like she had only done it a couple of times and it was going smooth as it possibly could no deaths on part 5 no deaths on any of the bases pillars taken down quick we gather back at home base and I pass out instructions haste and go we stop right inside and wait for everyone when i notice someone is still back at homebase so me and everyone else start hollering for he/she to hurry and then the cometfalls start healers go down first shot party wipe. The point of this is you are going afk say something newbtards we would have waited and most likely would have succeded had you just typed three letters. On any decent forum I would appologize for my grammer but since this is Khyber F OFF.

In this game, people spend half their day waiting for something. In fact I think our DDO community spend more time waiting than actual playing. Many times, I'm watching TV, or minimize the screen surfing the internet while waiting. I go to the bathroom, I go see what to eat in the fridge, etc. I take like 50 AFKs a day while playing. Only time I ever say AFK now, is when I'm in an active dungeon, a long AFK or other some other than normal circumstance.

TWDiggs1980 that sounds like a reasonable request to me. i'm often surprised though when end game characters don't do what i consider a basic courtesy like this.

i am also mildly bugged when people don't give an estimated time of awayness too.... i want a '1', '2' or '5' or whatever after that 'afk'

the added *reason* i am not so fussed about (unlike Arkhat if i understood him correctly). but it is mildly interesting if someone puts something in...

mine are usually 'afk 1 tea to cope with this' (usually before Coal) or 'afk 2 cat attendance' (and i've made sure she's spent 10 seconds purring into my mic first).
