View Full Version : Difficulty in Grouping to Enjoy Lower Level Content

Long story short - I was kinda Lv6/7-ish around the time I finished the Waterworks and Shan-To-Kor. Normally people would then start with some of the lower level House quests at this stage, but somehow I got invited into two decent PUGs which introduced me to Xorian Cypher, Tempest's Spine, and The Pit. I got so fascinated with these new things I ran them a lot (especially TS) that I have now already reached Lv10.

Here is the problem - I left most of the market quests untouched in the process, as well as some of the easier quests of the Houses (like the Depths). It's now very difficult to get a PUG that's willing to enjoy these quests with me in a reasonable manner. I mean, most of the time I am forced to set the level range into Lv 3 - 20 so that I can begin to get people joining my group (instead of Lv 8 - 12), and is usually followed by these situations: a Lv 5 who came, whined, and left after failing to read "Elite Favor Run No XP" inside the group ad; a Lv 8 who just couldn't wait and went in alone, looted 3 chests despite everyone told him to stop, the party was therefore disbanded; and a Lv 15 Barbarian who left the whole party behind and zerg'd everything and then left, the rest of us just spending our times autorunning through the whole dungeon.

The worst of all is the wilderness areas. Since objectives in wilderness areas grant no favor but only XP that's also subject to high level penalty, my attempts to create a rare/slayer PUG has been increasingly frustrating and neither can I find a group that's willing to accept me due to my "high" level. Yes I'm talking about Cerulean Hills and Searing Heights. And a rare encounter behind a WIS rune inside the Waterworks - surely a hireling would do but it just sounds pathetic to hire a hireling for such a cause.

Not sure if there's any good way to eliminate the problem, except forcing oneself to play in the order of quest levels. But that's not the way to play a game :(

That is the Problem when playing alot of higher level Quests and leveling up quick. You are missing alot of other Quests.
Probably nothing you can do about that with your current charakter.

Maybe you can roll a second Charakter and play the Quests you missed in their level Range?

Thats probably the only solution to your problem.

Indeed, if you feel like you are missing out on experiencing some lower level quests, then you are better off enjoying them on another character that you would be creating in the future. Unless you want to outlevel those quests and just go for the favor.

Though you didn't miss out on much - perhaps the greatest loss is the sharn syndicate questline. But not quests like Proof is in the Poison and such.
