I stopped playing DDO a long time ago for many reasons. One of the top was that the equipment that I loved was degrading with use. It was getting to the point that I didnt want to play anymore because certain outstanding items were being worn out of existance.

I have been reading up on the crafting system and the way you can 'bind and attune' equipment so that it will stop taking perminate damage. However this requires Khyber Dragonshard fragments (and lots of them for my high level equipment).

Problem is that at my level I am not finding Khyber Dragonshard fragments but rather Siberys Dragonshard fragments instead. I have quested in a dozen dungeons without finding one Khyber.

Without going back to the Harbor and doing dungeons that give me no reward and are not interesting because they are so easy, what would you recommend?

Both types of shard drop quite often, and usually in substantial quantity. You seem to be on a statistical drought. I have only seen a single Khyber shard drop once, and usually in bunches of 40 or nore. In higher level quests I've gotten 100+ shard stacks.

For me, the shards became a problem as stackable items have a maximum of 1000 items/stack, until I found that they will collect in ingredients bags. You can get a free small bag by going into "The Twelve" area, entering the building in the middle of the lava pool, going to the back where the halway "tee's" and enter the room to the right. Talk to the first guy on the left to get the bag.

They drop so often and in such quantities,i simply throw them away when i pull them. Even keeping to sell in the AH is not worth the effort due to the price of a 1.000 stack.

And when i ever need some i just buy them from the AH, as they are so dirty cheap.

At least on my server, Khyber, the Khyber Dragonshard Fragments are pretty much always available on the Auction House for 2000 plat per stack or so.

That's enough to bind any two items in the game and still have plenty over.

I will check the AH then. I checked before but wasn't expecting them to be ingrediants and must have missed them. Thanks for the advice, I just must be unlucky finding them (not all that unusal for me).

P.S. I was given the small ingrediant bag when I logged in. Thanks for the advice on where to get them though.
