Hi all
I'm working on a thief-acrobat / monk multiclass build for my second character. I like fists of iron for my pure monk, and I'm wondering how it would work (if at all) while using a staff.
Anyone know if it peforms an unarmed attack with +1 to crit, or instead just would perform a quarterstaff attck with the +1 to crit?
Thanks in advance

You will be able to use fists of iron with a Qstaff, and just like with unarmed, if you crit on this attack it will deal X3 damage instead of X2.
I don't wanna get into your exact build unless you ask it, but be careful on how you spend your points to keep both your concentration and your rogue abilities high if you want to be able to use the monk special moves as well as do traps/rogue stuff.
Also, you'll probably get less ki with a Qstaff than handwraps because I think it hits slower.
I have a monk/rogue acrobat and I personally use my ki for buffs rather than those attacks. I most often use the wind stance, but I can use any of the 4 buffs depending on the needs of the group.

Yea, ki will mostly be used for the buffs. I have "extra" ap's in the build and figured why not get some of the special ki strikes and wanted to make sure I understood how / if they would work with weapons since my monk has been purely unarmed.
Thanks for the input!
