When i hit level 10 i was excited to start running through tempest spine. The first lfm that i tried to join I was denied a melee spot. That was the only thing i wanted to do at the moment so jumped in. For fire/ice i went down to fire & beat on him until he reached 5-10%. i then brought ice to the fire cave & killed them both. Beholder room, i brought agro to me 1 side at a time, then the beholder. The inevitable gave me a worry. At 1 point i was stunned, blinded & at 10 hp. Got away, drank a couple of pots & remembered to put on some blindness warding goggles. For the final battle i had a couple of FOM cookies from the festival. Sor'jek was around 15-20% left when i got blown off. I let the rush from battle fade & made my way back. The second time I was able to stay on the platform. I enjoyed that battle as much as the first until i saw his dead body, that was better.

Congratulations and well done. Looks like you spent quite a bit in order to to have it complete and took quite a bit of time. Not sure if you purposely left out the time for the sake of shrine resets but it's still an accomplishment nonetheless.

You missed an optional ....
... Just Kidding, Good Job, way to show those snobby bastards. Just out of curiosity I noticed you did not display the time for the completion. How long did it take ?

it took about 200 min (217 ifirc). I took numerous smoke breaks outside to think of strategies for what i was about to face. Shrined 4 times i think. Used fists of light & wholeness of body for most of my healing, the shrines to reset my speed boost.

This sounds like an epic battle. Congrats!
+1 to you. Too often the posts arising from this situation end up like this:
"I got declined by a stupid party leader. Please post and tell me that I'm still awesome. I'm kind of fragile right now and could use a hug."
instead of this:
"I got declined by a stupid party leader so I just soloed the quest. Suck it, party leader."

Very well done. Was that your first ever time you did Tempest Spine (re other toon etc) ?
Personally I get too disoriented (map is of no help as you can't see yourself to know where you or anyone else are) and haven't the slightest idea what needs to be done as I'm usually blindly following the raid pack and killing things as they come up. Often thought about doing a solo just so I could enjoy the mission and understand what needs to be done.
Kudo's to you for pulling it off.

Well done OP. :)

What server do you play on? There are many people that would probably be happy to guide you through a training run so you can actually learn the quest.

for the int ruin i drank a pot of foxes cunning, brought it to the needed 18. For the str levers i switched to fire stance for the needed +2. This was my 4th toon through it so i knew the quest ahead of time.
