Just wondering, am I the only one who thinks that not staying in sneak mode after opening a door or activating a switch is obnoxious? Honestly, what's the point in sneaking if every time you enter a room all the enemies see you?

See the solution to that problem is you stay to the side of the door (usually where the lever is) and let the more sturdier types stand in front of the door when you open it. Unless it's one of those that have traps ON the door that you have to go THROUGH to disable...yeah, those tend to suck but still you can wait for the mobs on the other side of the door to aggro to someone else before tumbling through and disabling the trap.

I have an experiment for you,
go up to a closed door with people on the other side.
open it and check and see if anyone looks.
Anyway, the point of breaking sneak is that your action has
given away your position.

on the other hand, it's pretty ridiculous that they have changed (a long time ago) that attacking
does not break sneak.

Stand beside the door. Open the door. Do not move an inch. Go back into stealth mode.

Oh, and wait to open the door until no one is looking.
