What are the best mid level quest? Honestly I am a bit tired now of Delera's Tomb, the Catacomb, STK, Sharn's Syndicate. Also ran Gwylan's Stand, Redwillow Ruins, and Tears of Dharkan, and the various house's chain quests on a regular basis. Still have not done my Sorrowdusk Isle.
My last toon, a dwarf fighter has just reached level 8 tonight. All my toons are either level 8 and 9 now.
Can anyone recommend any quests from 9-12? I am planning to buy Sands and of course Gianthold. What else can I play for free and what other adventure packs are worthwhile to do: in terms of good loots and good xps.
Delera's Tomb is one of my favorite. Sharn's is fun. But after running over 12 times for each of my toon, need some fresh ideas. Anyone out there have any suggestions. Thanks.

lvl 10 you can go to the demon sands.
Tempest spine raid
Sorrowdusk is also quite fun, and good xp.

I suggest you run sorrowdusk once or twice then go to sands to do the slayers.

EDIT: Maybe you could also look into Necro4, Sentinels, Threnal, VoN,...

Thing is, f2p around lvl 10 gets low on content.

EDIT2: For packs, sands/gianthold + vale are musthaves to get to lvl20.
Look in this thread for ideas: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=199945

There's some p2p packs in the lot listed in the OP. So I'll put down my offerings including p2p.

You'll start looking at necro 2 - 4 (Necro 4 is lvl 14 or so)
Orchard has awesome xp while you looking for tapestries. Need 20 tapestries for Minos Legens....item you'll want to get.
Shadow crypt series has awesome xp.
Demon Sands /Queen Flagging
Gianthold (more for lvl 13 up)
Threnal (in house p next to necro teleport)
Sorrowdusk ranges from lvl 6-10ish
Sentinels is lvl 8
Restless Isles for Titan Flagging
Tempest spine
Xorian Cipher is awesome xp and has the chance to drop girds and chaos guarde.

Easiest thing to do is check your patron window (push p ingame). Sort quests by level and try do them at least at level or one above to make life easier although for years we did a lot of these quest below level.

At L10, I am usually running VON quests or sometimes Necro 2 if I'm in the mood for it, and banking xp into L11. There are some big xp quests at L9...The Jungle of Khyber (Vault of Night) and The Shadow Crypt (Necropolis 2). Shadow Crypt is faster and better xp/min if you know it well, Jungle of Khyber takes a bit longer but is still 20kish xp per run (can be more or less depending on how many optional bosses spawn). I generally skip Shadow Crypt because I don't enjoy it much (or any of the necro 1, 2, and 3 quests for that matter), but if you like fighting loads of incorporeal undead or are a wiz/sorc it could be good.

I generally chug an xp pot at L10 and solo Jungle of Khyber on normal 6 or 7 times, takes me about 15-20 min per run. Mix in some Shadow Crypt if you like and you can easily get all of L10, 11, and probably a good chunk of L12 just doing those 2 quests on N/H/E a bunch of times and banking xp. At L11 you have And the Dead Shall Rise in Delara's Graveyard, that's a pretty fun zerg up to the top of the tower, though for melees it can be kind of annoying if you fall through the floor at the top =/

Also, run the Xorian Cipher (F2P) if you haven't already, L8 quest that requires a group (or some hirelings/CC), it is good xp and some valuable loot can drop there (planar gird). Dreams of Insanity (F2P) is also a fairly challenging quest that I like, forget what level it is, 11 I think. There's always F2P Invaders! at L12 also =) By the time I do all those, especially the big xp ones a few times, I'm L12 for sure, maybe 13. Then I go do wiz-king and maraud the mines a lot in the desert, those 2 quests alone will get you all of L13 and banked into 14. Then I am usually bored and start a new character =)

I should say, Jungle of Khyber (Dreams of Insanity and Invaders also) is not that easy to solo for fleshies due to the beholders, I've done it on WF and flesh characters...it's a lot easier on WF. The Marut in Jungle of Khyber is pretty tough to solo with a melee also, you need to bring the right equipment for him. If you group mostly, then it should be fine since everything should be dead long before they can do too much energy draining and other nasty things to you.

Personally, I really like the VON quests, they aren't necessary to level or anything, but I think they are fun (The Prisoner and Jungle of Khyber in particular) and there's a L10 raid at the end of the series if you are into raiding (also has epic mode for L20). Even without the raid, I would buy it personally, just because Jungle of Khyber is one of my favorite quests. It has good xp and an interesting variety of mobs (drow, scorrow, elementals, beholders, a big mean troll, and a marut). If you solo mostly, VON is probably not a good choice though, some of the quests are pretty difficult (or impossible) if you don't have the right gear for them.

I can't say it's a "best" because I can't compare, but it's free: Ataraxia. Wilderness and some quests, level 10-13.

Just something to think about.

Appreciate your input on this. Seems like I walked into the desert after level 9, higher xp spread to level 10, less quest to do, favors getting harder to grind. I have done the Church and the Cult, Tempest Spine, just looking for more varieties. By the way, as far as the best loots, what do you all recommend?

Necropolis 4 is a must. The Orchard explorer area is solid xp and really good loot. It's hard to solo for a melee, but it's not hard to find a group for because it's very popular. Almost every character wants a Minos Legens - especially melee. It's a lvl 11 helm that gives you heavy fortification and 20 hp that stacks. Once you're finished with that, by lvl 11 or 12 you can start getting into the Sands and Gianthold groups. There are also some f2p quests in The Twelve around lvl 15, so you can get into groups by 12 or so. Delirium is one of my favorite quests.

Necro 4 is a must, but not at level 8 or 9

Free content:
Caverns of Korromar & Stromvauld's mine - both House Kundarak, tough solos though
Xorian Cipher (a bit tough, some great rewards)
Ataraxia (a bit tough solo, good duo or trio) - includes two quests, the mine is pretty tough

Pay:
Sorrowdusk - A nice quest chain plus explores- the last couple of dungeons are a big step up in difficulty
Threnal - Big chain, super end rewards, tough to PUG, not solo friendly
The New House D quests - a bit easy-ish maybe (level 7) , but some real replay potential

Move to Sands around level 10, would be my advice.

Demon Sands is quite good, and has the quest that IMO best defines what is D&D: The Chamber of Rayium. Pure dungeon crawling with lots of perils and challenges for the party.

Hi, Kralgnax,

I've done Caverns of Korromar: pretty good quest, a bit on the long side, good loots though. Sorrowdusk Isle: next stop for my level 9 toons- my son is dying for me to try this one out, afraid might not have enough people for the quest.
Someone mentioned earlier about Necropolis 4: what do you think of this? The pro's and the con's. Is it even worth considering buying? My ultimate buys next round is: Gianthold and the Sands, when they go on sale again.
Thanks for the input.
