I am doing a Let's Play of DDO, I have played a lot of it and find it very fun, I will post the videos on YouTube then post them here, subscribe to get the videos faster, and some suggestions on what class to play would be nice. I am going to start my first set in maybe an hour or so. Suggestions and such would also be very helpful, I haven't played in a while.
A Let's Play is a playthrough (sometimes a semi-playthrough) of a game with live commentary. They are very popular with YouTube users.

I believe I have seen alot of those Let's play videos about ddo in Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=let%27s%20play%20dungeons%20a nd%20dragons%20online&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1

But if you can turn them interesting enough, it might work out ^^.

Have any suggestions to make it a wolf in a coyote world?

Im guessing something newbie friendly, well-narrated (nobody wants to read subtitles or the annoying chat bubbles on the screen) and short enough to cope with the short attention span of an average gamer.

Something along the tankspot-line (for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFTceGrZIVk) would be awesome.

If you come up with something most enjoyable you can send me a link at cinerama@ddo-daily.com or via the contact form at ddo-daily.com (http://ddo-daily.com/category/contact).

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't know if I can do a tank-spot line, but I can definably go the newbie friendly, well narrated route. Thanks again, I will be sure to email you a link.

A dual-wielding monk/barbarian halfling would be LMAO. I cannot guarantee its effectiveness.

Jokes aside, it depends on what movie you want to make.

The Healer's Devotion = FvS and Clerics
The Arcane's Knowledge = Wizards and Sorcerors
The Melee's Fist = Barbarians, Fighters, Monks, Rangers
The Specialist's Path = Bards and Rogues

Personally I'd suggest FvS because they can heal, attack, offensive cast, support, everything. You'd be able to show a little of each side of DDO to the viewers of Youtube.

Thanks! I ran the game to test record and it was corrupted, so I have to download again. I will probably have them uploaded before 10PM Central.

Is FvS a free class? Last I played some had to be payed for.
EDIT: I guess it isn't, sorry for the DP!
EDIT2: I checked again, I have to unlock it, and 2500 favor seems like it would take a while. I think I might go rouge or ranger.

AUGH!
After I downloaded the game, I tried to run it and it said it could not access the path specified. I am downloading it AGAIN but putting it on my desktop.

Videos uploading, I can't understand what made it take so long, it had plenty of errors.

It is still processing, I suggest waiting an hour or two to get the best quality.

Currently at 2nd minute of 6 - can suggest to lose the full-length intro.

edit a few min later...

You made it through character creation, I see. I'd make a more forward showing of what info is available for characters. The largest shortfall we see new players making is simply not reading what info is given for the basics - races, characters, skills, etc. As you venture further along, make a point of showing the dungeon intro/NPC texts. Of listening to what the in-dungeon DM says. Of reading mouse-over tool-tips on items & skills. Stuff like that.

Good start, though. :)

I mean it would be kinda funny you could nickname it the juggernaut build after the X-Men. Damage reduction with unarmed combat. I know wisdom has a lot to do with monk characters (haven't played one on Eberron yet, but the one I had on NWN was like that), and it just fun to brainstorm unique combo's of characters.
