I've been doing alot of epic content lately on my sorc, and without exageration every single caster seal/scroll/shard I have seen drop to date has been full roll, and gone in some fighter or 8cha cleric's ingredients bag for an alt at some later date (Or even better, the AH for scrolls)

Why is this stuff not bound to character?

do you realize how hard it would be to gather all the stuff you need from an epic? there are about 30 epic VoN items and searching thru for all of those, it would be a pain

It's endgame, it's supposed to be 'epic', it SHOULD be difficult. It shouldn't be so easy to gear up your up and commin caster alt that all you have to do is shield block and autoattack your way through stuff on your dps fighter to roll against the one caster that was there working the whole time to crowd control and keep everything manageable for you.

With few exceptions anything considered engdame for the era has bound to character, and it's made sense.

Grabbing something for an alt at a later date over someone who helped you complete the quest... is a little sad, agreed, but then again, your loot your choice. Get in a good guild, then at least you can celebrate that the other person has it because it'll make their caster stronger and more able to help your character as well.

I grabbed seal of SOS on one of my buffbots for my later THF character but only because everyone else in the group who had a melee had it already. I wouldn't have rolled against an active melee in the party who wanted it for that character in that life - especially not if that's all they needed to complete the item.
