Passive shield blocking

I don't think it would be terribe to have a line of feats that offered a % chance to apply your blocking DR to a hit even if you are not activly shield blocking.

Something like:
Shield Block = ~5% chance to apply blocking DR to any incoming hit.
Improved SB = ~10% chance
Greater SB = ~15% chance

These percentages could be adjusted for those with the Stalwart Defender and Defender of Sybris PrE lines, maybe 3% per tier. So a Tier III with all 3 feats would have ~25% chance to have their blocking DR affect an incoming hit.

I am not sure on the %, maybe 25 would be too high, but I think the idea behind it is ok as it would give us S&B lovers a little perk.

I like the idea but maybe it would work better as an enhancement. I usually go Sword and Board on toons that are already feat starved.

I could live with it being an enhancement. Though if it was I would make Shield Mastery a required feat for the first 2 levels and Improved Shield Mastery a required feat for the last one or 2 levels.
