Competency based skills bonus's

Question, if and item gives u +3 competency bonus on all charisma based skills, does that +3 add to your modifier, as to say add too ur DC res? or jus add +3 to ur charisma total?

It does exactly what it says and no more. A +3 competency bonus to charisma based skills will add 3 to your total modifier of your charisma based skills (ie, intimidate, bluff, haggle, umd, etc). It will not affect your resists, your spell dc's, your charisma attribute, or anything else. Basically, if you go to the skills tab on your character screen, and of the ones linked to cha will get the +3. Anything else on your character wont change. Hope that helps.
