For those that don't know, THAT is a Peregrine gaming glove. How I found out about it? Through a Facebook ad (Yes, a Facebook ad was actually useful for something :D)

While they were on pre-order for a while and shipping beginning on April 1st, my girlfriend had ordered one for my birthday (April 29th) and one for herself. Yes, I have an awesome gamer GF.:D

Shipping started over two months ago and people that had ordered their gloves after we did have gotten theirs. She has yet to receive the email confirming that they have been shipped and with the tracking number. And lots of people are still waiting. The company has had a bigger demand than they originally thought and basically ship gloves out as they receive them.

I want it!
I want it!
I want it!

I want it!
:rolleyes::D:p

That is all....for now. Oh, if you want to know more about it, here is the website:

Nice dude!!!

When you do eventually get it, please post a review for us!

Trust me, Sneakee, I will.

It can be used with tones of games and even design programs like AutoCAD. Basically, to my knowledge, any game or program that has macros, can be used wit the glove.

I'll say it again...

I still want my piece of gaming gear. :p

Thx, it's so nice to hear I rock! ^_^

I'm pretty much dying in anticipation of the gloves. I can't wait to try it out on DDO! We'll probably do an unboxing video and a review of the gloves once we get em! *squee*

What she said. :p

The Pod on the glove is what stores all the info and it IS detachable from the glove. It is even recommended that you wear it around the house to work it in. Mind you, NOT while cleaning or doing dishes, etc.
The 'buttons' can only be activated by touching them to the activator pads on the thumb or palm.

...I wonder what macro I should set for the 'Spider-Man web-shooting' action. lol :D

And Doc, if you have not been to the site yet, you really should check out http://www.thinkgeek.com (http://www.thinkgeek.com/) . They have a lot of Doctor Who geek toys and such.

it's, a machine washable.

Not machine washable, but you can very gently hand wash it with a little soap and water.

It was beginning to look a lot like Geekmas :D:D:D

Yes, if/when we get our gloves we will post pics and do an 'unboxing' video and post it on here. Whether or not it will be in this thread will be debatable.

I really don't know how they could NOT know that there'd be HUGE demand for something like this. It's out of like every VR scene from the last 10 years, and finally it's here, instead of being something written about on one of those stupid tech watch blogs that never makes it to market.

And props on the cool gamer GF:)

Lol, I was a gamer before I met him but he made me even better/worse. I'm more addicted than ever!

I agree, I have no idea how they didn't realize it was going to be so popular, however, with how expensive it is right now they may not have expected it to be so big right out of the gate. They mentioned something about doing an upgrade to some of the hardware or something just before shipping started so I think that's mostly what has held them up. We're just a little frustrated because it's been a lot longer than anticipated. They had originally expected to have all pre-orders shipped by the end of April and clearly that's not been the case as we ordered near the end of the allotted pre-order time.
