"........are they gonna say he was a wise man?.......a kind man? ....."~Apocalypse Now quote
His style of acting will remain unmatched for years, or possibly forever.
R.I.P. Dennis :(

[1997]: Like all artists I want to cheat death a little and contribute something to the next generation.
That you have Mr. Hopper, that you have.

Dennis Hopper was always so much fun to watch on screen, his eyes could pierce through the screen.
Easy Rider's one of my favorite movies, Blue Velvet remains one of my favorite "man, that's messed up" movies.

I just saw it a little bit ago, first Gary, now Dennis, what a tough week.
Sucks when you start getting to that age where people you "know or grow up with" start passing on with greater and greater frequency.

What an amazing actor. What a career arc.
From the films like Giant and the westerns to the crazy days in the 60's through near ruin to rebirth as a celebrated fixture in the American landscape. He was a signpost for the times and will never be forgotten.

He had been deathly ill for quite some time. Still, even though it was no surprise to me, I'm saddened to hear he is gone.

And lets not forget his role as an alcoholic assistant coach in Hoosiers. "We're gonna run the picket fence at em."
