My i messed up my settings

hi guys!

i cant see no1 in town (my rl friend enter, and i cant see him nor he cant see me).
i try to fix it by pressing some buttons on the options menu. i clicked "reset chat displays" and since then i barely can talk (only can /tell ppls).

any ideas how to fix this problems?

Well your chat settings certianly won't fix your map, however depending on whether you are in Korthos Or anywhere else the problem could be;

If you are in Korthos, amke sure one is not in snowy Korthos while the other is in Sunny (look to see if it is snowing in town).
If you are in Harbor/Marketplace make sure you are in the same instance. Basically if you look at the mini-map, it will have for instance Harbor-1. If your friend is in Harbor-2, you won't be able to see each other unless you are in the same instance (you go to 2, or he goes to 1).

omg! u right!
i'm in the "not snowing" one!
maybe its the because the quests? (i'm about to do path of misery peak).
can i change to sunny/snowing? or it random/auto/quest-base?

do u know how to fix the chat settings? << nvm.. fixed this one :)

You can not change from Sunny to Snowy. You can only change from Snowy to Sunny. If your friend is in Snowy, tell him to go talk to the first mate of the ship and ask to go to Stormreach, then turn around and come right back, and he will be in Sunny. Nothing about the quests will change, and you will be able to see each other and run quests together.

As you've progressed through the Korthos questline, you cannot go back to the snowy Korthos. However, if your friend is just starting, you can make a new character and the two of you can adventure together :D It's more fun that way.

Once you're on Korthos sunny side you can't go back to snowy. But when you're still on snowy, just go to Stormreach (there's someone at the docks in Korthos who teleports you there) and come back to the island, and you'll be on sunny side. Don't be afraid of skipping the storyline, you can still do all the quests afterwards.
