I was just about to post this. I had a feeling this might be the case since they made stunning fist a requirement for shintao monk. Now I only feel like I'll be 'sacrificing' one useless feat instead of 2 if I LR into shintao.

DR is 10 + half monk level (10) + wis bonus + weighted (10) + other bonuses.

To give you some idea... having run around a lot with a low 40s DC on wail of the banshee I'd estimate that the fort saves in Shavarath are roughly 37, in eye of the titan elite they're about 34 and in mindsunder elite they're maybe 31.

So even with 40 wisdom (DC 40) don't expect stunning fist to land very often in Shavarath and even in Mindsunder you're looking at less than 50%

I consider shavarath abit on the extreme side since all the enemies have +4 to their saves from GH. For everywhere else besides there and mindsunder it'll be much more useful.

BTW: a 40 wisdom is a +15 modifier, which would be DC 45.

Unless I misunderstood your post, according to your own calculations, a 40 wis monk would actually get DC 45

10 + 10 + 15 + 10 = 45
