Im playing a thief, And my attack bonus should be +5, very often (90% time) it goes down to 0, some times even -4.

I have a paladin in my gang, and a wizard non of them are casting spells.
And it just happend now. Is it an update problem?

And is for real I miss like every third blow, once I missed 7 backsatbs in a row.

Are you moving?
Dual weilding without the TWF feat?
Using a heavy weapon in your offhand without the OTWF feat?
Are you burdened?
Are you using weapons you aren't proficient with?
Are you using heavy weapons on a dex/finesse build?
If you are a dex build, have you taken the weapon finesse feat?

Does it drop while you are moving?

Have any mobs cast debuff spells on you?

Are you useing weapons you are not proficient with?

BAH Lorien is too fast!!

Like he says, when you move you recieve -4 to ALL attacks period.

Dual Wielding two weapons without the proper feats can have MASSIVE penalties from -4 to -10 on one or both hands.

Not sure how encumbered works, but may also lower attack bonus (never a problem for my warriors).

Your 2nd and 3rd blows normally roll a -5 and -10 from the main hand. This is a function of the combat system.

Curse, Bane, and various debuffs can lower attack bonus.

My thief can stand still and still dont get the bonus he should have from start.
He wields a shortsword. Have no stuff that he carry ore even haevy armour. Think padded is the lowest armour you could have.

No I thought It could be some viaual at first it said minus something like 0 and it was realy +5 five.
But when I starting to miss like crazy Its not. When I get a bless its go up to +1 .

I havent playd for a week so I thought maby some update gone wrong?

The movement minus I get thats why I go from 0 to -4, But my character should have base +5, base attack +1, +1 weapon, +3 for my dex.

I'm going to assume your character is Tharguis (http://my.ddo.com/character/cannith/thargius/), via MyDDO. That may help folks diagnose your character.

At a glance you should have a to-hit of 4 (BAB 1, +1 Shortsword, +2 via an STR of 15). I'm going to assume though that you fight with Defensive Fighting, which imposes a -4 to-hit to get a +2 AC while active. This would cause you to have a standing to-hit of 0. For someone lacking a lot of equipment it seems likely you have Defensive Fighting going as your AC (in MyDDO) seems high for just +1 Leather Armor (although, that is just a guess).

Glad to be of help. It is one of the more common accidents some folks make to activate Defensive Fighting and then remove it from a hotbar, not realizing that stances stay active even if you don't have the toggle buttons displayed.
