Hi all!

This is my first time playing ddo & I've started playin like a week ago.

So my question is this:

1) I have a LV6 bard named Djezuz atm, path warchanter (@ character creation) Now know I wanted to know how i get one of the feats required for spell enhancement Spellchanter. (one of following feats: empower spell, maximize spell etc..)

2) Would it be a good idea that I level up to lv1 wizard and gain the feat to inscribe spells? Because I'm a LV 6 bard now & got 270 SP. I never get under 100 SP during a quest so maybe I could use those spare sp to cast spells that I can't learn f.e. magical arrow etc..

3) I got 2 magical books in my invent. What do I gotta do with them?

4) as reward for a coin lord quest I've been granted a 4th invent location tab (80stock places instead of 60) Is it a good idea that I have 30 stock places full of different rings/cloaks/necklaces/braces etc.. so i am flexible with my stats & spells during quests? Or should i stick to 1 ring, 1 necklace, 1 brace, 1 cloak etc...

5) the main goal is to become an arcane archer (fascinate foes and then kill'm) What are the things I should keep in my mind when LV up or spend AP on enhancements?

Cheers fellaz!!!

1) Not sure about your question - you can't be a Warchanter and Spellsinger at the same time - you can swap feats through Fred the Friendly Mind Flayer in House J. Generally speaking the preset paths aren't considered the best (although I don't know about the WC one specifically).

2) No. You have a misunderstanding of how things work. You can cast spells from scroll/wands by getting your Use Magic Device skill high enough. By splashing one level of Wizard you'll miss out on nice level 20 bonuses. Only multi-classs if you know what you are doing.

3) Not sure what you mean by magic books.

Well now I'm LV 7/1 Bard/Rogue & ready to LV up.

Should I level up to 7/2 or 8/1 ? I am trying to do as much solo as possible...

Ow and from what level I'll be able to vast LV 4 spells ?

Cheers!!

This post is not meant to discourage you, but:

- the predefined paths you can select upon creation are rather bad, in the new player's forum, tihocan has a thread with revisited versions of these paths, pointing out the flaws, http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=232660. There you can also find two bard builds: http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=2900557&postcount=123 and http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=2789906&postcount=6.
- a rogue splash in a build is best taken as the very first level since this grants a huge amount of skill points: (int bonus + 8)*4, to be precise.
- splashing one or more levels into your build should be planned beforehand since this can lock you out of important feats/enhancements. You should be really clear for which benefits you take another class than you main class.
- You can't attack fascinated enemies and ranged damage is pretty weak.

I would reconsider your planned build and maybe even reroll.

When you get what (e.g. level 4 spells as a Bard) you can check out at the compendium.
