In preparation for the longsword centered feat, I present to you, THE MOFINGER.

TBH I think I would REALLY go with the human one over the elf as there is so much more you can do.

You gain an extra feat, you get 24 more skill points, and higher overall AC.
The +5 Human versatility overcomes the bonus to hit / damage of the elf LS bonus by 3 points each.
You can also add that to the AC or even saves if you really need to to.
The human build also gives you the ability to sneak around due to extra skills.

Getting spring attack at LV 4 makes a HUGE difference leveling up no matter what build you use.
You also gain +20% healing on both builds.

The elf is really nice, especially with the LS bonus to hit and damage.
Plus you can really beef up dex for added AC.
However you lose an extra feat and also 24 skill points which can make a big difference.
You also lose out on the versatility bonus which can help out alot.
You still get the 20% extra healing.

I'm sure I've seen this build suggested too meny times today. And I'm sure the names are getting more rediculus with each incarnation... But I digress...

I can't see what your trying to do with this build tbh. DPS wise you would be better off with kopeshes or handwraps, but since your going light I presume your not focusing on DPS, in which case I STILL don't see the benifit of the longswords, but also have no idea WHAT you plan to do.

Wrong, I am the only one to post this one and it took me a couple days to build. Check the ranger thread bud.
You need to think about adding up add the skills if you don't think this can't DPS.
This is also for the new longsword feat which keeps you centered using it, YOU LOSE CENTERED WITH KOPESH.
If you don't think being centered for a monk is important then you really don't understand the class.
This is an alternative to the exploiter using longswords and keeping centered as well.
It's been well discussed an exploiter with only 1 monk level would not get much out of the new feat.
Also the name is a bit of a light hearted joke. I found it rather funny and catchy.

Wrong, I am the only one to post this one and it took me a couple days to build.

Actually there have been several builds just like this recently since the news of WSS came out. Nothing original here.

We know about the LS centered feat, handwraps are still better damage and you won't have to bother taking ranger levels so you could go kensai2/monk8 or pure monk for even more damage.

Northing original you say? Then show me duplicates on MY build. I posted this on the exploiter thread awhile ago and in the ranger forum.

I also put alot of work into these builds very carefully and have redone them many times.

BTW I looked at your chart, and yes handwraps are better, but as YOU PROOVED, longswords are even better then kopesh :)

Believe it or not, not everyone is an elitetest and will settle for nothing less then "the best" with that topic always being debated until the end of time.

This kind of build was suggested in the exploiter forum and I built one based on what was suggested for the other build.

This is for someone looking for something DIFFERENT and not something to copy every other monk / ranger out there.

Variety is the spice of life as they say.

Now, will this be the "best" dps? No, it will not, but it will be good dps all the same.
Will this class be alot of fun to play. YES, it will be, you get alot of feats and skills.
Take it for what it is, something different and a future build.

Since your a fan of monks why don't you try it yourself when the new stuff comes out, you just might like it.

Because with only 12 monk levels, the only unique thing you get is abundant step. Pure monk is more effective and a lot more fun... but that's me, enjoy your build :p

Firts of all, this buiild has been suggested a LOT over the last week. It's such a obvious split for use with the new feat everyone thought it imediatly. if you think your the first to think this up, your being somewhat delusional.

The spreadsheet shows Kopesh still outdoing longsords even with the elf racial bonuses at 0% fort. All it shows is that for a monster, an Elf can get a bit higher DPS then a kopesh on 50/0% fort mobs.
Its possbale this build might not even get that without the racials + kensai and other factors in that direct comparison.

There is nothing NEW about this build anyway. The splits already been done(And better variants for that matter), and the 'new' additions that everyone has already thought of due to this feat can be summerised by 'handwraps are a load better'.

Your basicaly taking a good build, swaping out the weapon for a worse one, and not even taking a good variant on the possable level splits. And gaining nothing.

I can't see a good reason to play this build. It basicaly seems to take the worst of every option on path/classsplit/weapon it can.

Heck, it's probably lesss FUN to play too boot, since most of those choices limit what you can do.

Unless I'm misisng something major, or theres some goal to this build you havn't actualy bothered to state yet, I can't really say much more.
