I already have Delara's Tomb, Sorrowdusk Isle.....just like to hear your experience with Tempest spine, does it have good xps and loots to even consider buying? What are other good ones for Level 8-12?

Tempest Spine is F2P. You don't have to buy it.

EDIT: Gah... beaten to it

A great Twink item drops from the Fire and Ice treasure room called Maelstrom. Its min level two, +1 Anarchic Frost Greataxe. Amazing for low level THF toons.

Kind of stupid question, where is Tempest's Spine?

In House J. It's real close to Xorian Cipher. Just a little past Fred.

I thought the Maelstrom didn't drop anymore. I could be wrong.

Tempest Spine is a level 10 F2P Raid in House J, and the only F2P Raid in DDO. You can find it near the Dreams of Insanity Quest Giving NPC. Both are north of Fred.

Tempest Spine is the most "Worth it" TP purchase in the game.

I mean, it gives pretty fantastic items for its level, good XP, and the favor to TP spent ratio is astronomical! (Something like infinity or ... imaginary numbers... or... wait, what happens when you divide by zero again?)

Brennie, the favor/TP points ratio is obviously astronomical, BECAUSE TEMPEST SPINE IS FREE TO PLAY ;)

Got nothing but good things to say about TS. 10k xp and platemail of the giants on my second run through! Much thanks to the group I ran with and the vets pointing the way, wouldn't have made it without the kind direction.

I'd think the Menecturan desert would be your next buy. Its a big adventure zone, lots of quests (most of them decent) a raid, and lots of decent loot items out there.

I find this one of if not the best at level F2P quests. I run it alot as I still do not have the P2P quests at higher level. Getting VofT soon as it is on sale and I just a few points away.

The quest is insane if run with a group that does not know what to do. If you cannot stay with group then you will be in trouble. It takes a while but not that long if you have a good group. THe xp is great for time spent. The loot is even better. Even if all you do is vendor the stuff you will get enough cash to buy a nice item off of AH. I use my rogue and have run this a bunch and used the cash to buy tomes to give to my new monk on the same server.

You don't have to pay but I do suggest you spend some time running this one. I really can't think of another F2P quest that I like that gives as good rewards and xp for time and is not a pain in the backside.

Someone said this is the only F2P raid and I don't think they are correct. The Pit is also a raid (as far as I remember truth is I only ran it once and never went back as it is awful). I am not sure if there are any others but there are not alot of raids for F2P. however, TS is way better then the pit and any other F2P quest.

"The Pit" is definitely not a raid.

You mean the "Sands" as some people calls it? Working on saving my turbine points toward that. Also saving for Gianthold.

Yes. IMAO Level 10+ Demon Sands (if only for the superb rare drops), Gianthold and the Vale of Twilight are your must buys - Threnal, Necropolis IV, Devils of Shavarath, Inspired Quarter are some popular optionals.
