I downloaded and installed Dungeons and Dragons for the first time last night, and everything ran smoothly. I was even able to play the game for a few hours without any problems. Then today I wanted to get on and play again, but I couldn't find the game on my computer. (After searching around the forums today, I found out where I can find the game on my computer and how to make a desktop icon for it, so that's not my problem.) But at first I thought this was some kind of error in the downloading, so I removed the files and tried downloading the game again. It downloaded just fine, but when I went to install it, an error like this comes up:

"C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\(this part varies)

An error occurred while trying to copy a file:
The source file is corrupted.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation."

I've deleted and re-downloaded the game about 7 times now, and this always happens. Every. Single. Time. What's weird is that it's not even the same file that has a problem installing each time. Sometimes it gets caught up on a certain file, and other times it successfully blows right past that file and gets caught up on some other file. No matter how many times I press "Retry," it never works. I've tried both High Res. and Standard Res., but the same thing still happens.

This is just so frustrating because I KNOW the game can work on my computer. I mean, it worked the first time! I don't know what happened... Can anyone help me?

By the way, I'm using Windows Vista.

What you could try is to delete these folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited
C:\Users\[your username here]\Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online

And these registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Turbine
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Turbine

Make sure there is no trace of DDO anywhere on the machine (Add/remove programs) in control panel for example and then try a fresh install.

If this doesn't work then I suggest you to call Turbine customer support, they will be able to assist you better.

WHen is the last time you defragged your hard drive and checked it for errors?
