So I made a warrior as a mule when I first started playing about 6 months ago. After looking at it and doing a 'little' reading I've discovered a thousand questions and realized I may have made a crucial mistake. Is there a point to making a high AC tank if you have no intimidate? If they aren't agroing on you then what's the point right?
Can I raise my intimidate enough to be useful in endgame raids? Or am I hooped and should I reroll? (haven't unlocked 32points yet)
lvl 7
str (23)19
dex 14
con (19)16
int 8
wis 8
cha 6
I put what few skill points I had into balance, but quickly stopped and moved over to intimidate, which is now at 4(2)
Feat: Dodge, Power Attack, Shield Mastery, Stunning Blow, Toughness, Weapon Spec: Slashing

I would suggest rerolling as 7 levels is not too hard a hurdle to overcome. You will only get 1 skill point per level with 8 int and there is no way to get your intimidate up to a high enough level to be overly useful on the few fights where intimidate shines. In addition 8 int is not enough to be able to take Combat Expertise (feat, 13 int prereq) a common component of most AC builds.
You may also consider a different stat distribution as starting with 18 str uses 6 more points than a 16 str, but only adds +1 to hit and damage. Those 6 points might be better spend in Int and cha.
Not having the 32 point build unlocked makes it a bit tougher to have an endgame viable tank, but not impossible to enjoy getting up there. What I did was level as a 28 point build Stalwart Dwarf and then G. Reincarnated when I hit 18 or 19 and had 32 points builds unlocked. That allowed me to get a feel for what worked and didn't, and to fix any mistakes (you will make many, trust me).

You might want to start with an Intelligence score of 12 (add a tome later) or 13. This will give you two more skill points (e.g. you can put points into balance and intimidate). You will have access to the combat expertise feat, which in turn will unlock more combat related feats.
Dexterity should also be at least 12 (add a tome later) or 13. This will unlock dodge, mobility, spring attack feats.
Strength and constitution will be useful too. Starting as dwarf you'll have a slight disadvantage. Humans have access to the "sentry dragonmark" (I guess that's its proper name). This dragonmark gives +2 intimidate and opens up an additional enhancement line to improve intimidate.
Well, having a charisma score of 10 will not impose a penalty. But you have to see whether you have the spare points for it.
Dunno. Maybe someone else can give you more first hand experience with dwarven intimidate builds.

Thanks for the helpful replies. I guess the consensus is reroll so that's what I'll do. My main char is a Sorc at 1100 favor so I guess I'll unlock 32 and rerol then, leaving it as a mule until.
Thanks again.

you do not need to have intimidate just because you are an ac tank. Though most do.
AC means you get hit less...
Intim is about aggro control and other factors.
You can still do decent dps as a tank with ac as either a kensai or stalwart (kensai would be about 10 ac less, give or take.
its not bad to have it as it is really fun though.
check out many builds here and follow one of them.
