Plus bonuses

for example, i have a plus2 shock Kukri of pure good ok. it says plus 2, but over to the right of the description it has a plus 4. i understand the plus 2 but what is that plus 4 refering too. ive seen this kind of thing on all items.

The +4 is the total of all the bonuses for the weapon. So it is a +2 for the +2 weapon bonus, and +2 for the shocking property. So 2+2=4 total bonus on the weapon. This affects selling price to vendors and required level to wield.
