My Lvl 4 drow elf cleric is having a harder time turning undead, although I got her charisma and wisdom to 13 and 16 respectively. Should I be even wasting enhancements on "turning undead" or is there a better spell to turn higher level undead? In Misery's Peak, her turning undead just melt the undead; now at higher level, it does nothing. What is a cleric to do? Don't want to do catacombs or Delera's Tomb until she is fully prepared. Thanks.

Turn undead is pretty worthless unless you want to stay on Korthos/marketplace your entire DDO career or never quest harder than normal difficulty. Get "prepared" for catacombs and Deleras by taking healing enhancements instead.

Give up on Turn Undead. Seriously, it is broke, and does not work well.

Turn Undead is 99% useless in game, don't waste your time even thinking about it. Grab a holy quarter staff or mace and swing away at those skellies.

Turn undead is very difficult to do in game...if you have a high cha charactrer, and 13 is not what I would consider high, then you can use it to moderate effectiveness through the house quests of lvl 8 or so. After that, you would have to gimp your character so much with feats and enhancements to get turn's to work.

But to answer your question, at lvl 4, with your current stats, you can use the spell Seek Eternal Rest (I might be off on the wording of it), equip the highest lvl charisma item you can get your hands on, as well as a sacred item, and may have marginal effectiveness on normal. I still doubt you will be able to with those stats, and would be more comfortable if you had a cha of 18 or thereabouts.

Don't turn...burn, with Divine light.

Check this out, an 18d6 area of effect enhancement that uses one of your turn undead abilities.

This is it's peak at level 12. That's 18d6 (18-128...avg 64) damage to ALL undead around you, not spread out and divided amongst them all. With a few of these and a blade barrier going you can tell the tanks to "sit this one out." :)

That's why choosing charisma as your dump stat isn't always the best thing to do.

Okay, that's it. I'm giving up on "turning undead". Is divine light available to a lvl 4 or 5 toon ?

One of these days I am going to triple TR a cleric and max his cha. I figure if I take radiant servant, every turn undead enhancement and collect every sacred/profane/exceptional turn undead item, cast seek eternal rest and wear the radiant servant amrath set then I might be able to turn some skellys end game and have a few divine mights left over as well.

Here are cleric enhancements. The first tier of Divine light is available at level 4.
