View Full Version : Jidz-Tet'ka hidden bonus?

So got the Jidz-Tet'ka for my Cleric/Monk today... planning on epic'ing them for various reasons, but.....

Was just putzing around in wind stance, put them on and noticed that I was hitting faster with unarmed attacks. Just slightly, but it was there. Put my regular bracers back on and it slowed down just a tad.

Anybody else notice this?

Well, he said he was putzing around in wind stance, so I would guess wind stance.

Yeah, but when he was putzing around in that wind stance, what stance was he in?

(And yes I'm joking.)

Anyways, my take on it is: test it rigorously and provide data. Time yourself on how long it takes for 100 swings with the Jidz bracres, then switch bracers time how long it takes for 100 swings with the others.

Have some time I can go and help test it out on. Are we talking the Epic version or just the standard upgraded version?

Hi, I'm a she. :)

They are the straight Jidz-Tet'kas, not yet epic'ed. Character was in Wind Stance and is 17 CLR/2 MNK. Was just standing in the Market punching air with my wraps when I switched bracers and noticed it. No counts on attacks per minute with/w.o. the bracers, so no hard data, but I stood there and switched bracers and punched air for about a half hour.

Grabed another pair to try out. And... well... The only difference I've noticed so far when using other bracers and then switching in the Jidz-Tet'ka is that other bracers can sometimes after the 3 full series of attacks, can stall for a moment. Causing a delay in going back into the next chain. Haven't noticed that with the Jidz-Tet'ka on though. Not certain if that's what we're talking about here though.

Monk Level 20. Ultimate Windstance on with Jidz-Tet'ka on and off.
