So i’m creating a new ddo skin. It’s based on the DDO.COM site artwork. Why? Lets face it: d&d online artwork is OLD. Believe me when i say that there are people out there that don’t play this great game because of the (bad) first impression.
Features:
* ddo.com like appearance
* improved tooltips (opaque tooltips with nicer borders)
This is a work in progress. Suggestions are welcome but please keep in mind that i'm doing this for myself. If you think you have a better idea for the skin, your are free to use it and enhance it further.
Here's the download link:

v0.2.2

I'd definitely be interested to see what you come up with! :D
EDIT: Love the screenies...but I'm more of a Green person than a Red one...but it is a very, very cool UI nevertheless!

cool.
Only suggestion I would have is maybe some texture to the gold background.

That looks awesome. Does anyone have a link that tells you what to do with skins once you download them? I missed that whole concept somehow, and can't find just generic information about how to implement one once you have it--and how to revert back if you change your mind. Thanks!

You said you'd take suggestions to enhance it a bit. Have you looked at the sell prices / buy prices on vendors? When you sell something and the numbers for the cost in cart are a little blended into the background a bit.

Something when I was taking these ss I noticed that the pawn shops cap at 100 items. When you put a new item on there that would take it above 100 it hides or removes another item from there. Hmm...but that part has nothing to do with UI but coding of the game, kinda interesting.

very awesome.
I'm gonna go try it now... I'm glad people are still working on skins hehe.
edit: have it installed, it's amazing. One thing though: the main toolbar (top left of the screen) has kinda mismatched icons, looks a tad awkward.

Hi. Yes, i know that white color fonts over the new "old paper texture" are hard to read. Unfortunatly there is no way i can change the font colors, as far as i know (someone please correct me). On the other hand, the "old paper texture" is the same used in the other panels, so if i change it, you will see a change on every other panel that have that texture (inventory, email, etc...).
very awesome.

Thanks.
Remember, this is a work in progress. In fact, i don't know how long i will continue with this. Probably until i stop playing the game which means 'when i finish all the free instances' (i'm a 'free player') :(
