Warforged and Docents

I have a lvl 7 warforged fighter, and ive used many different docents. my question though, does the look of the docent depend on the class? for fighter, it looks like armor; for mage, it looks like cloth, or even a backpack or satchel?

i've seen a few warforged FVS around, with purple robe-like gear.

The look your warforged gets from the docent it uses depends on the body feat it posesses. If your warforged has the adamantine body feat the docent will look very different than on a warforged with no body feat.

oh ok, so since i chose adaman. mine looks like heavy armor, and im guessing since the mages chose none, they get robes and stuff?

You have to have no body feat to be centerd unless there has been a change I dont know about.

So to get pink armor I need to select adamatine? I have been dying to make a wf with pink armor and wasn't sure how this was done.... though I don't wanna be a Barb... does it matter what class you are?

Started a wf rogue and multiclassed to wiz. I think my armor will always keep the rogue armor look. (Not full plates, not robe... somehwere in the middle with a pouch on one leg and armor on the other thigh)

I guess I like the current red docent more now that I am aware of the pink trend...

Just as there are variations in the look of weapons, armor and shields -- even if they have the same characteristics -- there are variations in the look of docents.

If you have no body feat and try on diffferent docents with the same attributes you will typically get different colors and looks. It doesn't have to do with the character class -- it is all about the docent. I have +5 docents that look like I'm wearing nothing, they just change the skin designs. I have some that look like I've got on a backpack, a few that look like I'm wearing some kind of kilt-like thing and still others that look like I'm wearing a sash.

In the case of named docents this doesn't seem to be true. They seem to always have the same look and color scheme.

Personally, I'd rather they take their color scheme from my character's base color so that I don't end with the awful color combinations that sometimes come up. I spend a lot of time collecting docents so that they don't blind me while playing because of the clash of colors.
