Ember

Hey everyone, I remember starting out with an Ember Rapier, and loved getting three numbers for my hits as a Rogue. I was wondering, now that I am slightly higher level, and using some +1 Rapiers I found, would it be possible to upgrade them to have fire?

If it is possible, would it be rather hard or costly?

You cant upgrade those rapiers you have found but you can find some flaming rapiers or even better flaming burst or shocking or icy later if you do the shroud you can craft some nice rapiers. look at the ah or the broker in house d sometimes you can buy what you want.

Not possible to upgrade to fire unfortunately.
You can buy/find rapiers with the fire property on them however. These will do 1d6 damage instead of just the +1 fire damage from ember. More on criticals as well if you get flaming burst as opposed to just flaming.
Check the brokers in House D or the auction house for flaming, acid, frost, pure good etc... rapiers.

Unfortunatley not, you will need to loot/buy a nice elemental weapon, but it wont take too long, try the broker in house D, and id recomend the deception suffex on a rogue, as it gives sneak attacks when it goes off

If you see the Sharn Syndicate pak go on sale consider getting it. Lot's of elemental weapons in there, although fire seems rare for some reason. But nothing wrong with acid, force, frost, shock and sonic :D (even better if all on one, but alas... no just one per weapon in that pak :D )
