So..at 20th level I had no idea what to use my fighter feat for, which means I'd have to reorganize them. I'm going to post this for now, see what flaming (read:suggestions) I get and move from there. There is a lot of room for reorganization in this.

The only thing I'm worried about here is I have a ton of DPS feats, it seems like this is going to gimp my AC. But in all the builds I have read, there isn't a lot of AC feats anyways.

Basically I took two intimitank builds that used TWF for DPS and tried to modify it to make sense for THF DPS. I took bastard swords for when the next mod comes out and the THF feats apply to them. Enhancements will be towards stalward defender, as will gear. Just wanted to change from 2 weapons to 1 weapon.

can you post your stats please?

Your HP cannot really be 282 at level 20, are they? My hal fighter half rogue has 438 without equipment. I think you need to take a look at that problem first as at end game quests you have less HP than my 19 cleric and he is squishy. Sorry about the bad news.

don't worry, this definitely is hp without gear, only toughness and enhancements

282 with a toughness feat is still way too low, are you saying the OP did not complete the enhancemnet part of the builder? If that is the case will the saves go up as well? They seem a little low to me. I just pulled up the Chargen and loaded a fighter I had erased all of the enhancements and it still has 390hp. I think there is more of a problem here than worrying about what feat to take at level 20. Of course this is my opinion. I agree with you that the OP needs to posts the stats.

it seems to me as if there were no stats involved in hp and saves, strange

Stats would probably be 15/15/15/10/8/14 to start. I didn't post enhancements or stats because I was mostly curious about the feats. I didn't realize the stats would be necessary to answer this question.

Obviously stats / saves / enhancements are going to come into play and change things significantly. As I mentioned, all I wanted to know about was the feats alone. I was mainly aiming for a tank build similar to the cannon fodder tank (or really any other AC intimitank) but I wanted to use THF instead of TWF. I also decided to pick up CE later rather than earlier, drop UMD altogether and work on balance instead.

i think the creator knocked one out of the park with this build . . .

Why dwarf? For the free dwarven axes feat? It makes more sense to me to go human and use the extra feat on weapons so you can have the extra skill points while you level up. UMD I guess is more a convenience then a necessity, however. Intim, jump, and balance seem to be the necessary ones. I think you only need a base score of 5 to tumble (if you get a small +tumble item.)

I'm planning something similar, based on the same builds that you are using (saw your posts on the Cannon Fodder thread.) I am a bit concerned that using a Bastard Sword will not be a good long-term solution. Instead, I am planning on taking the Sentinel DragonMark Feats and getting a Chimera's Fang (http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/6821/screenshot00005a.jpg). That will allow me to evaluate the weapon without sinking a feat into it.

The least dragonmark gives a +2 boost to Intimidate, so even if the bastard sword doesn't work out the feat provides some benefit.

(Edit) BTW, don't get caught up in the hit points in the above build. 282 is a level 20 fighter with a 15 con and a toughness feat. No tomes, items or enhancements. I'm pretty sure it is just incomplete and showing the feat progression.

That's exactly what happened. I only wanted critique on the feats. I think I've already re-ordered them some. Weapon Focus: Slashing and the line that follows it is way more beneficial than the THF specific line. +hit and +dmg do a lot more for me than does glancing blows at low levels when I'm not going to be using weapons that have an on hit elemental damage. So that has changed. I'll post a new character sheet for it soon. I'll also make sure I put everything in this time to avoid confusion.

I'm in the middle of re-working all of the feats. I'll reply again soon with an entire character built - this time I'll make sure to include stats and enhancements so there is no confusion. Still, is there any feedback on why you would prefer dwarf?

+2 int tome is so you can get the extra skills. I still think there is some re-ordering of feats that can be done. Any suggestions? Same thing goes for enhancements. I didn't plan those out very well at all, so suggestions there would be excellent as well.

EDIT: I would make this guy using veteran status, but turn around and go to Korthos anyway.

Any feedback?

I made a similar build this week.
I have never rolled a pure fighter.
I did not go umd either.
I also gave up a couple toughness ehnancements to max versatilty for the extra + 5 skill/ac when needed.
I skipped tower shield mastery as I read it to help with skills but not dex - AC relationship.
I am not sure about the alignment.
I toook feats that would allow me to go Kensai with only enhancement changes.

I've got an AC build thats level 8 at this point, and I'm thinking about switching feats so I go THF instead of TWF. Anyone know if this will kill my DPS or if it will stay relatively the same? The benefit to this is my attack bonus will be higher, which means I can use power attack and still hit things.
