I've looke at a lot of build for barbarians, and they all seem to include cleave as a feat selection..wat exactly is the point of choosing cleave is the barb already gets glancing blows?

Cleave is a prerequisite for Frenzied Berserker.
Otherwise you'd be right and they wouldn't bother.
And actually, a TWF Barbarian wouldn't have glancing blows. Those are a feature of THF combat.

The idea of cleave is that it's supposed to hit everything with a regular attack in an arc in front of you for regular damage. Great Cleave and Supreme Cleave have much wider arcs.

Glancing blows have a chance to deal reduced damage to anything in a small arc in front of you.

It's an idea that works much better in PnP than DDO.

The PnP Cleave is quite a different thing. And it is entirely possible for Cleave to work fine in the DDO environment, even though currently it does not.

Take it because you have to (frenzied berserker); just don't be tempted to use it.

I use Cleave and Supreme Cleave pretty much exclusively to pull mobs. I run to the mobs, Cleave, greatcleave real quick, then run away, and they all chase me. gets their agro a little bit better than just letting them see me, and allows me to hit more of them than just running by swining my weapon.

However. Thats usually just Epic Von 1 pulling them back to the rooms we use *shrug*

The attack animation is VERY slow and you get a lot more damage with regular swings.
