can someone tell me what these do exactly?

Heal for 120-250 hp and give you -10 to all stats and -50% movement for 30 seconds.

They enable you to take screenshots of your non-positive armor class.


Okay, jokes aside, these things are really handy for classes that have a hard time giving themselves massive mid-combat heals (Fighters, Barbarians, some Rangers). It does require some forethought on what gear you have equipped at the time, though.

So, great for self-healing between during (best done between) fights, but better be sure you have your STR-item on your caster - or healing up will be the least of your problems :eek:

Perfectly fine for healing up during fights, just make sure you have at least an 11 in every attribute, or else you're unable to act until the penalty wears off.
With the proper aforementioned foresight, and a little healing amplification, they make great in-combat heals.

yes, been using them for years on some on my girls... always crossed my mind however that maybe sometimes they should perfect them lessening or removing the side effects considering they cost about the price of a heal scroll each.

It does require some forethought on what gear you have equipped at the time, though.

For a non-dwarf/WF with +2 tomes in every stat - this can be as simple as equipping one of those Globes of Imperial Blood and gtg. Definitely an old school but handy item for this particular problem :D

WF can use them but with the healing penalty WF have.
