Hello, started ddo some weeks ago and enjoying it so far (I wish dungeonmaster spoke up more often)

Being a complete newbie here, I just cannot figure out what items to grab, much less WHERE to grab.

Since I don't have tons of golds to spend, I usually just visited market vendors and auctions for affordable items time to time... and yet there was nothing that I could afford that piqued my interest

So far, for a lvl 8 two-handed Paladin, I think I managed to secure a good enough armor, sword, and WIS+3 helm (didn't know wisdom mattered in spellcasting until recently...)

But for the accessaries, I'm in the lost :P

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The big things to look into are a con item, a cha item, a str item, and heavy fort.

Since you're going THF, don't worry too much about your ac. Instead, focus on hp, and heavy fort. You got light fort, which is better than many, but look for moderate if you can't find heavy. I'm not able to tell what the + is on your str, cha, and con items, but they look to be fairly low by your total stats. Look for the highest + you can find.

Things to get:

Run Deleras for Voice of the Master. +4 STR gloves optional. As is Carniflex (if you reroll).

Run Black Anvil Mines for Heavy Fort (called Nightforge Gorget I believe, ml 9)

Then replace that with:

Minos Helm (tapestry turnins for necro)

Beyond that, most of your gear will come from raids (shroud weapons) and rare drops (bloodstone, etc). Until you get what you want, just look to keep your stats up and keep the little extra's on hand (ie: waterbreathing, feather fall, striding, clickies).
