Collapsed Portable Hole.

I was just in a group doing The Tear of Dhakaan (on Hard) and I won a Collapsed Portable Hole from one of the chests. I gather these are extremely rare items (so naturally I was very excited) but other than spending pretty much ALL of my money to increase my inventory space by 25%, what else can I do with it?

I vaguely remember reading something about a town area that was somehow related to the Portable Hole, do I now have access to this zone? If so, how do I go about getting there?

The collapsed portable hole and a thousand plat get you another backpack slot. Very useful.

The 'Collapsed Portable Hole' is the name of the tavern above Stormreach that is only accessible through the Teleport and Greater Teleport spells. It's a mages area with arcane scroll and general vendors, a tavern and some arcane trainers.

First, it increases your inventory by 33%, not 25.

Second, it's the only thing it is good for.

The Portable Hole is the name of a tavern which can only be reached by teleporting. It has some scroll vendors that sell things not available anywhere else.

That is quite incorrect. 80 slots, add 20, is a 25% increase......

I wouldnt say that. They are nice drops and are maybe a little rare but knowing multiple people with 15+ will not classify as "extremely rare". Checking AH they are up for 40k plat on Sarlona so you could make a good amount if you havent used it.

Erm, I've been playing for nearly a year and haven't pulled a single one. Nor a tome for that matter.

To be fair, my highest toon is level 13 (I've rerolled A LOT), but still. I'd have assumed I would have pulled one by now, particularly given how many slayers I've done in Atraxia, Gianthold and Orchard.

Maybe I'm just not looking in the right spot.

Sands you can pull them a lot. I think I've pulled about 5 from the desert.

Gianthold you should of got one by now. 75 Agents rep can give you a Portable Hole or a Siberys Shard, mostly everyone just takes the hole.

I got one as a quest reward a few minutes ago from Tomb of the Blighted as well.

Lowest level place I've seen it pulled is Forgotten Caverns on Hard.

Cant you get one for free with favor by running GH? Anyone with GH should be able to get at least one easy.
