Level 3 Rogue (Acrobat)

I am new to this game, and have tried a few different classes. I am sticking to the paths simply because I feel I don't understand enough about the game to stray from them. From the beginning it was recommended to use quarter-staffs for my class/build. Is this true? Should I stick to quarter-staffs, and if so, where, at level 3 can I farm for a better level 3 quarterstaff?

I liked the fighter, but since I solo, didn't like missing out on extra content, ie. hidden doors, ect.

Acrobats get bonuses with staves, that's why it's recommended (it only starts making a difference when you get the enhancement though...but on another hand that's the only two-handed weapon you should be proficient with, so you can use one from the beginning).
Best place to farm for staves is AH ;)

Maybe just have a look at the revised Acrobat build in this thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=232660), at the very least it'll give you some hints on which enhancements you should pick.
