Hey guys I have been looking/testing assassin type builds and have not gotten the results I have been looking for I have an idea of what I want but can't find any build similar to and havent got all the time in the world to play and come up with my own build only to find that it sucks =/ so if anyone has a suggestion please comment.

Here are the Ideal options I was narrowed it down to(any mix/splash of these would do, Note: I do not want to have every class I list below in it there just the choices of what I have narrowed it down to.

Rogue, Ranger, Wizard, Barbarian, ...and maybe fighter

I want it to be TWF build with the ability to disable traps and open locks and maybe even be able to cast a spell or two (self buff or combat) In other words I want to be able to be a semi trap monkey that can hold its own in a group and that can dish out damage and maybe specialize in dual wielding either Longswords, Rapiers, Kirkris, or Khopeshes

Thanks... Again any feed back would help =D

Also I was thinking I should maybe use the Drow race but I am open to suggestion!

Check out my 18 Rogue / 2 Barbarian Assassin III new-player friendly build.
It's in my INDEX OF BUILDS (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=241757)

(I'm not gonna direct link it here, so you can see all my new-player friendly builds)

Maybe a Ranger 18/Rogue 1/Barbarian 1?

Ranger 18 for the full Tempest line, spells, and TWF, Rogue 1 for a bit of sneak attack and full trap skills, Barbarian for slightly faster speed and a small hp enhancement.

Pretty much fits the bill.

An exploit ranger pretty much covers almost everything. Just take 1 rogue at the start (or maybe 2 for evasion, but ranger is evasive enough), then go ranger all the way (if you don't have monk).

If you're new to DDO, I recommend Thailand Dan's newbee guide (which uses a free version of the tempest ranger).

In his guide you get: dual khopesh fighting, the ability to pick locks, umd, disable device and sneak, self heals (wands). I've played this build up to lvl7 now and when in a party, you almost always have sneak attack and still have more kills than any melee class (except a well-build barb).

Here's the link: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=208850

Note: I'd recommend this to every new player around here. You may not be the best around, but it's easy to play well, you can solo stuff, the emphasis is on fun and there's really a lot of good hints in there.

You could adapt the Tempest build in this thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=232660) to do traps (see the Variants section). It seems to be the kind of build what you are looking for.
