So this was done a long time ago and was interesting to hear peoples thoughts.
The game has changed so so much in the last year, new dps, new nerfs, and an influx of new players...so feel free to post opinions of you opinion of the top players by majority of class build. I know I should start, but I hardly PUG these days and I figure a list of my friends may or may not be viable.

Well I guess I should have know this would have gone nowhere. Considering I had nothing to offer up myself. This game has gotten so big and people have so many new alts now. While I do enjoy what F2p has done for DDO. The infux of lvl 20 noobs is overwhelming. I guess it just makes me look like a better player...haha.


I mean shroud Pt 4 people are freaking out about the blades still, and If I have to hear..."are you guys lagging" or "I still see numbers over my head" one more time...I may squelch the raid. Just kidding, but seriously all that read this and somehow dont know already...the shroud lags. Deal with it ! Preemptive (taken as a measure against something possible, anticipated, or feared; preventive; deterrent) heal for the love of god...dont spaz:) Sorry for the tangent......

fvs - basically anyone who has played a cleric prior to being a fvs generally play fvs very good as well.
sorc - only grouped with him a time or two. but Rev is pretty good.(once he gets to his last life he will be a sorc that is.
pally - since cashery isnt a pally anymore,dex
ranger - Keensly(although i havet actually grouped with him on this toon in along time,so maybe he is a noob now :p
bard - anjelix(think its the right spelling)
monk - any monk using weighted
rogue - jackknife
barb - any barb with power attack

My personal take on the best not including guildies:

Raid leaders whom take any class make up into a raid and make it work--Spyderwolf, Lidas, and Hemalara ( I avoid LFMS that say Need Big DPS, or those holding out for a Bard, etc)

*Special shout to Spyder who does not MYDDO people. . .until they are in the raid and obviously something isn't quite right with them :)

*Special shout to Samulus who does hold out for certain class make ups for some raids, but also sometimes pugs 10 spots of complete unknowns even in EPic Raids, so it is understandable.

DQ Intim on Epic-- Ratins --BARD; Spyderwolf --Fighter; Ztank-Fighter. The rest that I have run with are in my guild so I can't mention them, but you should mention any that you have run with:) And anyone who can do DQ Epic can do VOD or TOD ( I only say this because I look at some of you alls LFMS and get very confused)

Pali whom is an awesome Horoth Tank--ITS--Due to past experiences when using a Pali as a Horoth tank, when he first said he could do this I was prepared to have to do a ton of healing and have people take aggro from him, none of this happened. We always kill sulu as well, so he is on Horoth for a good amount of time.

DQ Epic Kiters- Panzy, Hema, Sweettear, Mandragora, and Lidas
Best people to solo Epic Quests and let you join near or at the end-- Panzy, Fryfish, Guessagain, and Hema
Best at winning every roll in an Epic Chest- Ediz

I agree with ya hex on the take whom ever make up...but lets be fair on this. All of the people mentioned that will usually take any make up...are of friends. When it comes to absolute strangers it can a bit scary to take 3 pug(not just out of guild...but strangers ) bards and 5 pug casters on any raid. I do agree waiting more than a few extra min. is absurd. Hoping someday to be blessed with a network of people who can get the job done no matter what class...prolly help if I didnt yell at people so much...

...my official small tangent of the post...1. Barbs who announce Frenzy!! Seriously?? I get ****ed when Barbs dont frenzy. So to all the new players here...you must Frenzy 98% of the time...and if you get in a shroud run with me and I see no damage taken on portals...I will probably make fun of you for about 3 min. on my vent server:) . 2. Healers who say "are you using vicious weapons on the portals, cause you are taking a lot of damage." Again new clerics..frenzy adds over an average of 20 pts a swing...40 when glance procs! Be happy they are saving you time!

you should log on about 5 am in the morning then. just last night me and hex and 2 others ( cant recall exactly who)took the first 6-9 pug who joined for shroud. and hex was the only one who was even on a good toon. i was on a gimpy ass bard.



they always seem amazed when we jump into the next part while they are standing around buffing themselves after an lfm said fast shroud. :D

Really, the frenzied barbs are probably the only people (in a decent shroud group at least) that will give me any healing to do in part one - bring it on I say. I typically end up trying to get to the mobs to energy drain/destruct/implode them before the casters do just for something to do these days in between portal smashing.

Yes you better save 30 secs on those portals so that you can get buffed for 10 mins b4 part 2 and 4 and another 10 mins during part 5.

Silly people, if you really want to save time in shroud, take whomever wants to join and start within 3 mins of your LFM going up, and stop all the crazy crazy buffing. If you wait 15 mins for a Bard, the 20 mins you spend in buffing time negates the 2 mins faster a Bard can make your run.

A dual frenzied barb is off soloing a portal and incapping himself for nothing if you then turn around and waste time on useless buffs, over buffing and 3 or 4 people passing out the same buffs.

I mean really, you think it's portal time eating up this raid? LoL. . .Not.

Prob they have run with the same Jacka$$ cleric I did--I said I was pass out FOM in hopes of trying to speed the darn thing up--and the cleric said that he did not trust me, and passed them it again, as well as a bunch of other silly buffs just because they were on his buff bar ( I pass out every buff on my Buff bar whether it is needed or not) --we had to wait over 5 mins in part 5 for him to fill up his SP bar--on top of the time he took to buff people. I decline people from his guild now--if they are used to that kinda of baby sitting and time wasting, they don't want to be in one of my groups.

Really--FOM and Mass protect is all people need in this raid from other people. Poison- Pots- If you have longer than a 6-7 min part 4 you've got other problems. Fire Pots in the 12 are enough for this raid.

I realize that when im on my frenzied barb that he is by no means a survivalist,so im smart enough to stay around healers,I stay on portals I stopped caring about kill count 3 yrs ago,so im more then likely with the group at all times,as for my frenzy mode,You shoulda told me you like going afk in part 1 ;)

I know its funny if I sing and haste at chest so people can jump through to pt2 after looting and watch every meelee sit at shrine then yell at my bard for jumping to 2.

Some melees need to shrine to maximize their dps for the next part. The extra 15 seconds won't hurt anyone, they just need to be able to self buff/be self sufficient. As for songs, re-doing them at the center while the main critters are getting pulled should solve any issues imho.

However re: the point of yelling at your bard, that's hilarious. Yell back? :)
