Hi, I play a wizard and realized that not all spells are sold in the game. Can anyone provide me with a list of these spells so i can choose them when levelling?

Thanks

PS I used search, but couldn't find such a list, though I bet there is already one :)

before you level up (when you will get new spells) buy all scrolls from vendor for that lvl and scribe them
then when you lvl you will have to choose only spells that are not in vendors.

you can buy and scribe all scrolls from all spell lvls before you can use them :)

Is exactly how I and am sure most everyone that has multiple characters - who planned a wizard - does this. Helps though when you have another character which funded such. ;) Fact being, I inscribed the bulk of the spells at level one (every scroll I could buy in the portable hole) ... then as I played her picked many of the non-vendor ones off the AH at times... I have every arcane spell in the game as the result.

Otto's Sphere of Dancing
Blade Barrier
Glyph of Warding
Greater Glyph of Warding
Symbol of Weakness
Delayed Blast Fireball

There's a list on the wiki (http://ddowiki.com/page/Scrolls#Scrolls_not_available_from_vendors). Not 100% sure it's accurate, but if it's not, go fix it ;)

Thanks for the answers. Was very helpful. I started to learn spells now before I level up. But now I've got another question: Can I see which spells I already learned from higher levels than the ones I can already cast??

Not in the conventional sense, no. If you try and enscribe a scroll you already know, the game will tell you, but other than keepin track or leveling up, there is no other better way.

There is also a link in the wizard forum that is titled someting like Wizards Handbook. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=116560&highlight=scroll+enhancement

This is a gread guide for spells and what and how they work.

It also has a complete list of spells that you need to take upon level up if you don't have the scroll if you want to learn every spell in the game.

I usually just check this handy excel file with all of the DDO spells: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Aux9DPd63JhedDZ0T21KTVQzdTZFai1hTWtpZ1U5N EE&hl=en

I can't take credit for it, but I surely use it. Much respect to its creator!
