Char names

I was runnin around the market (selling and repairing) when i was sent a tell from what i assume was a GM. Telling me that my name was against the rules... Char name is Wateva DumAss. Mind you im standing there with 3 real life friends ALL with the same last toon name as me and also our guild name. But the GM informed me that he was deleteing my last name (and did) but when i asked why he couldnt give me a straight answer as to why????

But like i said im standing there with 3 RL friends ALL with the same last name as me and he never once messed with them!!! Please explain this to me??????? Why was i singled out???? With names 50x worse then what mine was. Can someone explain First. Why was my name changed. 2nd Why was i singled out 3rd Why do i still see names like FU.hollywood or Udaho or CptSaveAHo.... How come there not getting harrased but the gm's over a name. I could maybe see it if i was doing something wrong or exployting the game bugs or something. Do i not spend enough money like the others do with names way worse then mine was?????

GM'S don't scoure the Who list looking for bad names to alter. They only act on a report from another player. Someone reported your name which is why your name was changed. Chances are, if the same person had seen your friends names, they would have been reported and changed as well.

And honestly, with a name like that you are suprised?

You violated the naming rules. Do I think it's petty somebody reported you, sure. Do I think it's a stupid name, absolutely. Do you think just because you spend money, that gets you a pass from the rules? Report everybody you see, be a gangsta snitch or whatever.

As has been mentioned here, GMs respond to reports of names that violate the naming guidelines. If there is a name you feel is a violation, please report it so that we can take action. Thank you.
