Hi everyone,

I experience massive lag as soon as about a dozen good and/or bad guys are around. They still move on the spot, I still move and can walk around, but my attacks won't hit, monsters die at random without being hit, yet I'm being attacked without seeing by whom.

After reading the "connection issues" sticky (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=184209), I recognized this as "Network Lag". Not server lag, I'm the only one in groups who won't move (feedback from a group leader after kicking me, thanks for that....) also not client lag, my PC is fast enough to fire GTA IV, and in DDO i have 40-65 fps, no problems there. So I have to look at my network, that's what I believe.

A DSL connection speed test certified 4.400 bit/s download and 460 bit/s upload speed, that should be largely enough, right? My ingame ping is about 150-170ms. I played counterstrike before at ping 250 without problems, and DDO quests on solo with 3 opponents have no problems, so that should not be the issue right?

Primarily I'm wondering if there is a diagnosis tool or function somewhere which can help me pinpoint the problem.

I have not touched the firewalls yet. Can the problem be there?

Where else should I look?

Before completely trashing my system, opening doors for malware, reinstalling everything or the like, I'd like some helpful hints, if somebody can help at all.

Thanks!

Turned off all firewalls (router and windows) - no improvement
Turned off all other computers in the network, and communicater software on gaming pc - somewhat improved but not satisfactory. How much lag do I have to live with?
