Cleric/Barbarian build help

Howdy,
My friend is using a template for a cleric-barb build found here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=1895558#post1895558) but it only goes to level 16. Any help fleshing out the rest? He's about to hit level 9.

Honestly? I wouldnt do it at all. The defining feature of barbarians is rage. The defining feature of clerics is casting. You can't cast while raged.. Considering clerics are a top tier class, one usually looks to splash them with something complimentary, if at all. So a lvl or two of fighter for the feats. Or even ranger or paladin, tho personally I dont think thats as good. They all give you melee weapons as well (the whole point of splashing being that you want to melee more effectively), but none of them will restrict your spellcasting.

Note the opposite, splashing a barbarian with cleric, is an absolutely perfect way to gimp your build.

But if you really, really want to be a barbarian cleric? Hmm.. depends on what aspects of your build you do want to emphasize.

you dont have to use rage at all and i've seen many clr barbs they do fine healin/offensive caster/battle clr.
and it will never gimp your build with only 1 lvl of it since the cleric capstone sux.

1barb advantages for clr mix

sprint boost (get to a team mate faster and heal him)
more hp
10% faster (slow with shields and heavy armor? can only get 20-25% striders?)

You aren't 10% faster in heavy armor (at least you aren't supposed to be, never tested it)

all barbs from lvl 1 get 10% to their speed ( still nice to have )

1 palli gives nothing 2 palli yes, 1ftr more feats 2 ftr more feats (1ftr lvl2 clr lv3 tr): rng...? , 1monk ac (no hound shield!)/2MNK EVASION
try a barb with its still good, and im not saying u have too.
heck even rogs good!

The thing is, it's a done deal. He leveled to 9 last night and has no intention of re-rolling at this point. We only get to play once a week so it's taken him since Sept. to get this far. I guess I was more hoping for advice on enhancements and feat selection for levels 16-20.

Recommendation:

Since you have a splash already, 18 levels of cleric are ok too (possible tier III prestige)

However you are missing empower and maximize - which are awesome for bladebarrier.

I would add another fighter level for a bonus feat (IC:Slash), take maximize at 15 and then empower at 18.

When to add the fighter? Up to you. Just remember that it delays your new spells by 1 level, so dont take it before you got 11 cleric levels for the heal spell.
