i dont want fights please
people say it all the time ... keep it civil and devs will respond so i am gonna put this to the test.
Powered by our fans ... right?
these are the top 10 things that have been mentioned in the forums according to me (please put your top 10 in as well even if they match some of mine) and i would love it if someone from QA or Dev team can reply as to which are being worked on ... which are being considered and which are on the back burner for a while and ones that will never be done regadless ...
again if your not a dev please do not give opinons on others lists as i wish to keep this civil.
1) Green Steel handwraps - i have seen hundreds of posts and one great one recently where someone posted the difference between monks with two tod rings and greensteel vs dual weilding fighter with greensteel and the dps is 10 points of damage difference in monks favor. The dps isn't the problem and coding is the only problem then it seems like its worth working on to me ... at least for balancing sake and bringing monks back into the relm of useful for most parties and raids.
2) Scrolls returned - i have seen a few threads about his one too ... specifically one that noted how at lvl 10 these scrolls where over powered but how in the current game where reincarnations and lvl 20's exist they no longer have any over powering qualities and should be readded especially harm scroll as pale masters need them to survive.
3) New races - i know i know half orcs are in the works and schedualed for fall sometime ... but there has been to date 1 new race in 4 years ...is this the intended timeline .. 1 new race every 4 years?
4) new classes - Fernando stated that there will be no new classes till pres are done... are you serious? while i didnt expect druids this year i did kind of think they where in the plan for next year ... but now it sounds like no new class for two years... is that really the plan?
5) character customization options - we have seen hat skins and we have seen them get stupid expensive (bunny hats for 250 come on man that is silly pricing) when are we gonna see armor skins ... and when are we gonna see them drop in chests and not be store only items? armor dyes and crafting for looks alone ... have been big issues that have not been talked about in years cause people have given up on turbine giving answers ... this is the time give us good news :)
of course content and what not are also issues but I think they are outside of complaint list these days ...i expect an update that has any one of these things would still have content either missions or raids and what not aswell.

1) Removing Dungeon Alert
2) Item Cosmetic Customization
3) New content other than Epic. I've run this stuff a bajillion times already, why do I want to farm more of it?
4) Removing or Degrading the power of Greensteel // Replacement of greensteel crafting (Collectible crafting is ripe with potential) or allowing for 2 prefixes and 2 suffixes in higher level item drops
5) Cleric developments moved to the top - Domain and PrEs

Apart from actual bug fixes (which I don't consider 'development' issues, though I realise 'developers' still have to work on them. In ITIL terms bugs are 'incidents' and development issues are 'changes'. The two are very different)...
1. Text & string searches for the Auction House
2. Prestige Enhancements (I'm lumping AAAAALLL of them together rather than selecting classes)
3. Rebalance AC and To Hit
4. L10+ content. Much more L10+ content
5. UI scaling. The UI in this game is in my opinion particularly exclusive:- people without a massive monitor & the GFX card to back it up have difficulties with the sheer amount of Action Bars and stuff you need on the screen to make this playable. UI scaling so that you can grow or shrink the UI as needed without having to change the resolution of the whole game would be a godsend.

4. Rebalance AC and To Hit
But you have grazing hits for that

1. I can agree with Greensteel handwraps, monks need love even though I don't play one.
2. Let raging barbarians drink all potions. What sense does it make that a raging barb can drink a lesser restore pot but not a remove curse pot? It should be the same thing.
3. Give incentive to wear all types of armor - tired of seeing all kinds of half-plate, scale, banded mail with absolutely no reason to wear them. I would love a reason for my rogue to say "hey, I'd really like to get a suit of studded leather armor, it's perfect for my build." (my rogue breaks the 4th wall :D )
4. Ranged combat - this has been mentioned that it's getting a polishing pass. I eagerly await the outcome of that.
5. Randomness in dungeons - often discussed topic, certainly has it's pros and cons, haven't seen a perfect solution yet.... but it would still add a lot of playability and enjoyment to the current content.

1-5.) Fix the bugs that have been in the game since launch.
Suggestion - Like your adventure packs, sell bug fixes in the turbine store. This lets you continue on the road to riches while giving players the bug fixes they so desperately crave.

Fix outstanding bugs: Paralysis, moving statues, those that have to wait for level 4 for casting (rangers, paladins) getting proper 5 points, not 2.
New races: brand new races, not just clones of another existing race. Example: Gnomes
New classes: not reskin of existing class. Example: Psionics
Improve ranged combat finally. Let Codog be the hero.
New content, not dealing with devils or undead. They have been done to death.

1. Add more races. Half Orc, is a good start, but we need Half Elves, Gnomes, and maybe Shifters.
2. Finish the Druid, or tell us it isn't going to happen so we can move on.
3. Customization for wearable items. Change the look of armour/ robes/ outfits; let us see our cloaks, boots and gloves.
4. Add more Spells for all casting classes. Along with that, fix the HP related spells so that they can actually be effective against creatures in the game.
5. Finish the PRE's for ALL classes. Make sure to take into account tester feedback on them, so we dont get another Pale Master issue.

.
This hasn't changed they would still cause the same issues. The scrolls were not removed so much because they were overpowered as they screwed up class balance. This was more of a UMD nerf than a scroll nerf. One of the biggest complaints was that the role of an arcane caster was nullified by a rogue with 100 firewall and 100 cc scrolls. If anything it would be worse now with all the maxed UMD and liquid cash... now if casters could create their own scrolls that I would buy into.
1) Auction House
2) PRE's
3) Guild Improvements
4) Content, Content, Content
5) Bug fixes....fix the GD locked toolbar bugs for Christ Sakes it's been 4 years.

1. AH search function
2. Turn Undead: properly scale it to level with mob HD, or at least make semi-turns cower like they used to, not run.
3. Colour LFMs to distinguish premium content from free.
4. City guards should show some proper respect and salute when I run by.
5. Garoudry Wynn. My 2TR has leveled what? 50-odd times with this trainer? We've known each other for years! Would a familiar greeting, a pat on the back, or just a smile of acknowledgement be too much to ask? The arrogant snob...

1. Time sinks- I think they are taking a step in that direction with the new games but we need more permanent games that give benefits even small ones and lotto ones that are not apart of the loot system. A way for people to log in and spend time outside of questing with a chance for rare treasures or even Turbine points would be nice.
2. Customization- im tired of looking like everyone else who masochistically grinds for either DT or Scales or whatever the latest craze in armor and weapons are. Allow us skin AI to change our armor/weapons appearance.
3. Immerse AI and NPC options- (While Id like to see them work on this its top on my list I know its not something that could be readily put out). Make the Bluff/ Diplomacy and other skills in that set make sense. Have more and better AI options when you have these skills. Allow high intelligent mobs the ability instead of auto combat rage speak with us. You have a few battles where you have to talk to the mobs before starting up battles (The titan raid mind flayer springs to mind) instead of just telling him the option that starts up the inevitable battles have it where the points you invest in such skills as diplomacy works for you. The way you speak to the mindflare ccould then affect the raid itself. Less warforge attacking you while your running the crystals..etc. Im just using Titan as an example but thats some of the things I think would make certain skills more viable and would like to see them worked on one day.
4. Class prestige and pre's- I know we are getting them in a trickle like cycle but some classes need things to make them stand out better. Why does my warchanter only stand out from others based on the race I play? Bards are known for their flair having my bard play the same way as another is offensive to me. Also while spell singers are helpful and I have not yet seen many virtuoso's it seems that warchanters are the line many bards are choosing because of the boosts to parties and their abilities towards combat. Too many classes are suffering from the "this line is far better then the other and its annoying." Another class that im sure many others could agree needs love is the Rogue class, tired of having to choose between trap monkey and assassin dps. I understand that sacrifices need to be made to be good at one or the other but anyone who splashes can get both easily. And the capstone will send me on a tangent so lets just say we need more focus on ways to make classes stand out more on their own merits instead of "x is extremely better then y" that we are going threw.
5. A new high level area (ala Amrath style challenge) with epic options. One of the things a a few people I play with a lot and myself were talking about was when they announced Epic was coming to the desert we thought for sure that they would make a toggle option of making the sands epic style as well. when you clicked to enter at level twenty you could choose to go in "Epic" style and fight tough mobs and have the terrain really work against you on top of the quests. To me seeing epic as it is (with the exception of the new quests which I have been enjoying epic since I dont know them well) is quite boring. Ive run the vons a lot, ive run the sands a lot. I hope that with new ideas comes a full area where level 20's can be put to the test and have rewards that dont require 20+ other items to create. Rare treasure drops that on their own are worth getting nearly killed for and can be upgraded would be a nice thing to see again.
Thats the 5 things I can think of that id really like to see. Im realistic in knowing that it would not be easy to implement any of my ideas but if they were put in Id enjoy the game a lot more.

1) lots of new content at each level. So much new content that you couldn't possibly do it all while you are levelling your toon. Expand the amount of xp you can bank so you can enjoy all the quests at level without wasting/losing xp.
Slorgs
04-16-2010, 02:59 PM
1. GS handwraps
2. Druids
3. AH Search [SELECT * FROM AH_Table_ResultSet WHERE ItemName Like '%pure good%'] It can't be that hard to add a filter to the existing result set, or sorting it (all pages) before it returns the recordset.
4. Clothing Options, the NPCs have better kit than we do
5. Half orcs or hookers, whatever is easier to code
1) The rest of the PrE's
2) New Raids
3)Remove DA and grazing hits.
4) Epic item reworks
5) To hit rolling method rework so you can never fall off the dice and nor can monsters. I personally prefer the statistical distribution approach, but others have recommend other methods that could work for this.
k im going again 5 more ty:)
1. raid lag..for real what freakin casuses it.. imean **** i dont even raid any more its no fun i stand in one place swing and hope when its all over we are still alive , and i have avery nice system and cable . thats not a good way too play a game imo

1) Outfit customization, armor paint, the system from LOTRO that lets you show a cool looking item while wearing a better bonus item, all items show...i.e. cloaks, gloves, boots.
2) Personal, customizable homes, again available in LOTRO.
3) A gateway to Neverwinter ;) or another town with all new shops and content, also large outdoor non-instanced areas.
4) Random generation of current quests, i.e. the floor plan, trap placement and mobs change every time you enter, yes it can be done :)
5) Word searchable AH.

1. Epic handwraps (not greensteel as I can see how a Min II with holy burst/shocking burst could be a bit overpowered though frankly monks have been screwed out of wraps for a while so I wouldn't mind seeing greensteel handwraps that are overpowered on release)
2. Armor skin customization
3. More work on monks
4. Sorc PrEs with Elemental Substitution
5. Epic Handwraps

More PrEs, core classes, core races, warlocks and more middle level quests (Including updating some older middle level quests which look **** compared to new quests)
edit: oo, yeah, armour skin customisation, even if it's just letting you change the model you have on an armour to another available one for the same base item.
edit: yeah, auction house searching too.

1. Fix the bugs (pot drinking, ladder hitching, kobold jumping, para'd mobs moving, etc.etc.etc.)
2. Fix the lag. For the love of god fix the lag.
3. 18+ content. Decent content (i.e: not IQ/DD content)
4. Give us all our pre's/cleric domains.
5. Fix the content that plain ole sucks. (most epic, SoS, necro)
In no particular order.

1. Content. Most important, keep the quests comming. :)
2. Connect the dots. Link the wilderniss areas together, with multiple exits, to make a real map.
3. To hit rolling method. The d20 is too limited.
4. Make SnB usefull. Maybe some damage migitation with a shield and heavy armour. And/or allow bonusses to go up (ie more than +5) to give shields extra ac.
5. A crafting system. (for all levels, like in LOTRO)
Aesop
04-16-2010, 04:29 PM
1. Ranged Combat. Speed it up balance it out and make it a viable style option.
2. Sword and Board Combat . Improve Offensive and Defensive Aspects making it a viable style option for more than just Intimitanks.
3. Armor Class balancing . AC should matter in the game at all levels (that does not translate into being the only option, just one option)
4. Spells and Feat. These go together as they are character building tools and we don't have enough GOOD ones of either to allow for the flexibilty that the game should have.
5. PrEs. Every class should have them by end of year not in 4 years. When I say every class I mean all of them including the one that should have been released by now yet hasn't ... you know the one I mean. I'll give you a hint. DRUIDS
ps: Druids should already be done so they shouldn't have to work on them anymore... I mean 5+ years in development and they can't make shapeshifting work?

1) Item and Character customized appearance. This would be an excellent time sink and a welcome addition for many people.
2) Green Steel handwraps. I don't play a monk, but really this is getting pretty old pretty quick.
3) More classes/races. That are still balanced with current classes/races to encourage diversity, not just another flavor of the month.
4) Re balance some feats/skills/PrE/Capstones. It seems like such a waste to have so many spells, skills, and feats that are borderline useless.
5) AH search. Make the AH a little more user friendly and you will see it used far more often.

Have the ability to 'Deconstruct' a GS item at the alter, incase of error! (human or planner) Too many mats to **** away incase of a mistake. Too much time to collect mats with random drop rates as it is. For casual players, it takes several months to collect enough mats for a Min II GS item. A wasted GS item (Mats/time/disappointment) leaves "Zero" desire to want to continue playing.
these are the top 10 things that have been mentioned in the forums according to me (please put your top 10 in as well even if they match some of mine) and i would love it if someone from QA or Dev team can reply as to which are being worked on ... which are being considered and which are on the back burner for a while and ones that will never be done regadless ...

1: GS Hand wraps otherwise I really don't feel motivated to run shroud infinity+1 times.
2:Monk Love: Please throw us Monk lovers a bone with More Named Hand wraps and Epic Hand wraps..Give me a reason to want to gear up to be helpful on epic. Please....Please fix Weighted Hand wraps so Monks can actually have a decent chance at successfully landing a Stunning Fist on Elite and Epic mobs. As is.. 30'ish DC for stun?..Fortitude nonetheless? .. endgame stuff looks at that..and laughs..in fact would die of laughter as Fighters and Barbarians land Stunning blows and kill them.
3: Change Stances so to give players incentive to actually switch stances endgame other than mainly Wind for insane attack speed with the occasional water for slightly better DC's on monk attacks. As it is, unless your heavily twinked out most Monks can't stick a finishing move on Elite+Epic Mobs.
And even then the monks who can achieve the DC's to stick their specials on the mobs..odds are gutted some other stat to be able to get their wisdom to a high enough level where they can land them reliably.
4:Monk PRE's
5:Take a long hard look at Monks, like Posts from Hydro who does make very good points about monks being a DPS class and how Strength monks are generally preferred for endgame and/or epic content hence convincing people to give up going Dex+wisdom based path. Please Look for ways to give players valid reasons to Make Dexterity and/or Wisdom based monks for Endgame content.
Instead look for ways for Monk's to generate increased damage through Higher Dexterity on the basis of being able to bypass enemy defenses to strike at vulnerable spots easier instead of going 'Hulk smash' via pure Strength.
Or Increase their damage through increased wisdom on the basis of simply 'understanding' the nature of their enemy and having insight on how to use their Ki to inflict great damage without needing great strength. (insight bonus to damage maybe?)
(I know I should only be Listing 5..but..this is some stuff I've been really wanting to get off my chest for some time after lurking on the forums for so long *grin*)
6:Give players access to more ways to boost stats -other- than strength..really In my opinion its silly that there are sooo many ways you can enhance your strength and con to absurd levels..while every other stat gets the proverbial shaft.
(PS: I know this is only my second Post on the forums but I am a die-hard Monk fan..have loved them since I first started playing D&D So..I would very much like to see them brought up to par with other DPS classes..I admit I am Biased towards Monks..but I feel my observations are fair.)
(..I will likely get Neg Rep'd for this..but it is also something I just need to say)
7:Monk's are a class that benefits the most from staying Pure all the way to 20..yet Every where i look I see splash builds with like.. 2 monk and getting absurd level's of benefit for minimal investment.
Now when a monk splashes into something else..they are forced to give up some -awesome- abilities at 20 for what I personally believe are benefits that do not give nearly the payoff to justify the sacrifice. *I'm looking at you Exploiter builds* Please Dev's.. I beg of you to find ways to reduce the benefits of splashing monk.

1) consider continuing the Korthos Devourer story line after you leave Korthos with more low/mid and high level quests (including a return to Korthos at higher level) with an end game raid around 20th level centered on defeating a weakened (just waking up) Chthulhu like devourer boss... Center the raid on an antarctic style ocean voyage (shades of Poe and Lovecraft) with some underwater combat and a giant ancient temple under the ice where the cultists are trying to wake up said devourer.
2) institute all of the D&D movement rules that were left out, such as eliminating spell casting in mid jump and tweak DA to discourage Zerging more and the negative perception this gives new players about the game. NWN has no zerging problem and all the movement rules (including attacks of oportunity) are closer to D&D and will generally punish you if you try to run past things unless you're considerably higher level than the mobs. Nearly 40 years of D&D play testing developed those rules, and the closer you get to them the better balanced you'll be. At the same time give more incentive to kill off "trash mobs"; make them drop the odd good loot or ingredient, make XP and end loot based incentives (raise or lower end reward quality/quantity based on total ACTIVE mobs left unkilled (i.e. not sneaked past but activated by zerging)...
2a After fixing broken DA in a couple quests make a "DA tutorial" so some of the folks who can't figure out how to avoid red alerts can learn. Oh boy here comes the negs....
3) fix the UI, more different icons for items (like Bracers), and make icon size scalable... Hard to tell one icon apart from another at 1600x wide screen res. Also make all UI settings stick, I should not have to type "/who asdf" every time I log in (to avoid the two minute lag as the Who tab populates) when the check boxes in the who tab could just remain persistent and eliminate this irritation for me. I'll put AH search options/string search here as well.
4) Add some random dungeon content.. Think Rogue/Diablo but Not all content just some new stuff make them BIG sprawling things random generated and different every time you enter them, make them like slayer area's but add small side dungeons that are are also random, (scale to party level) every time you enter... Also add a sprinkling of random traps to most static dungeons... including the D&D icon the spiked pit trap, make Spot more useful for vet players and discourage zerging further.
5) Cosmetic and character customization, let us at least change the colors on our armor for free, this should not be a store item, leave the store cosmetics for things that actually change meshes or make a large visual change. Changing the look of your character is a big time no brainer and is in just about every MMO out there and for free.

Disclaimer :D
My list stems from my limited experience from the game so far. I haven't leveled a char past level 15 in order to worry about more high-level content. I haven't made a monk in order to worry about their handwraps. I haven't even made a blank greensteel in order to worry about deconstructing it. I haven't been in Reaver's Reach yet in order to worry about the random DT armor crafting system etc. etc. Those are all valid points as far as i can tell, but here is my own top 5:
1. I'd like to see more content story-wise. I don't know how to put this better... More interesting and more coherent stories.
2. I'd like to see items, spells, feats, and enhancements' descriptions fixed, as well as the game tips that have been out-dated and the mistakes in the compendium.
3. I'd like to see some AI bugs - like monsters chasing imaginary foes - fixed.
4. I'd like to see some randomness in the dungeons.
5. I think it would only be fair that all classes are finished and have PrEs.
@Turbine and whoever is involved in the making, running and upkeeping of this game:
Thank you for this wonderful game that has given me so many hours of enjoyment.
Please do your best to make it even better :) (that happens to be the reason of this thread, right?)
DDO rules!!
Meh not time to really think on it but your list is pretty close to what I would want so I'll just go with that.
and a +1 because I can.

1. A "Polish Pass" for all thier text strings. In other words item, feat, ability, etc descriptions being corrected. Fixing the infamous storm giant in TOR who shouts 0x000888 text string... etc. You would think this would be "Simple"
2. Rework the ranged combat system.
3. Fix monks unarmed combat. Handwraps need to have the same level as normal melee weapons, you should be able to wield 2 handwraps, and monks needs greensteel.
4. TR EXP grinding penalty needs to be reduced.
5. More PRE-Classess for existing classess. This should be #1 priority before introducing more "Base" classess.
1. Fix the lag
2. More high level content 16-20
3. Searchable AH
4. New races and classes
5. additional PREs

1. No Shroud lag. Actually, no lag at all or very minimal lag.
2. Greensteel Handwraps. Actually, just better crafting overall.... changes need to be made to DT armor.
3. Cleric Domains and PrEs.
I'll leave it at that for now.
Other things I would like that should be relatively simple to implement-
1. A park setting behind Tempest's Spine complete with a statue of Tab provided for those who wish to meditate on li...OMG!
2. An award for KannyaHeals Aryien for most fun up and coming Cleric.
3. Fix whatever epic Rogue stuff that was upsetting/disappointing Brenna Wavekin. Never partied with the guy, but I've seen him around town and I'd stop and salute.
4. Stop making all of the decent Docents pink.
4a. Everyone's Character screen auto-loads Halflings.
4b. Screw that, everyone's char. gen screen is default Cleric, which you must pug until level 10 to unlock other classes. :D
5. Pay for Memnir to have access to either an electronic billboard outside my apartment or just flat out give him reign over my desktop wallpaper.
6. Do something about the Nat Gann situation so Tot will start talking about something else.
7. Gimpy DPS in Shroud 4/5 triggers auto-play of "Staying Alive" by the BeeGees.
7a. If there is no gimpy DPS, Hawksendoom gets to play whatever he chooses. Oh, wait...he already does. :p
7b. Killing spiders in Let Sleeping Dust Lie gives you an automatic 11 neg levels and....your docent turns bright pink. No, wait! Killing spiders in LSDL costs you 50 TP per spider.
7c. Picking up stones in Hound when you were told not to causes the offender to auto recall out and he/she is auto added to your "friends list". Whenever they are seen in public, they appear to be wearing a....pink docent. Regardless of race.
8. Devs implement BTC Drama Banishing Goggles of Peaceful Forum Reading which eliminate your desire to click on every new thread in either the Argo or Khyber forum lists. Hidden Effect: While wearing this item, all Clerics and FvSs applying to your raids are applying to heal, not melee.
9. My Little PWNY members get sparkly ponies to run around the Argo marketplace with.
10. Favour Reward: Perma-Haste!!!!!

1. Lag
2. Make SnB meaningful - (maybe MUCH better DR with a shield?)
3. AH search
4. Awesome world events - like combine the servers and let us all duke it out in the streets for a weekend and the winning server players all get unbound +4 tomes
5. New content - not retreaded old stuff AND bring back the LOW ROAD (yeah, I've been here THAT long)

1. Fixing EPIC quests so that not all the quests are just big slugfests...diversity makes the game interesting....having one basic type of character being the most effective "killing" the monsters (high DPS High HP) is not interesting. Some quests the monsters AC should be so high that only spells work on them, or monsters to hit low enough that AC matters and have those monsters hit really hard. Make the types of characters that are effective in various EPIC quests be different.
2. Eliminate dungeon alert....or at the very least fix it. Perfect example is Bastion where it has been reported repeatedly that stuff aggros from the floors above. Dungeon Alert should be turned off for these type of quests, immediately.
3. Make some money Turbine....add new classes and races and only have them available from the store...but add them. Druids, psionics, gnomes, dragons:D. People would love to play up new races and or classes, then the current content would not be as boring to repeat. And any new classes or races should be more powerful (but not ridiculously more powerful) so there is incentive to roll them up.
4. New quests, and if there are not the resources to do enough in house (5 to 10 a month) make tools so that your customers can make them, and use Turbine staff to review or modify the quests. And let the quest developers name the NPC's for themselves to get recognition.
5. Reduce the grind. Some grind is good, but when one has to do 60 quests to just get the epic tokens to equip one item, talk about boredom. Or how many monster kills does it take to get the one epic scroll in the desert that you want (the raid scrolls do not seem to drop very much at all). The EPIC dragon loot seems a bit more balanced, but having random drops for 55 items in the desert becomes a wates of time, and very boring.

Number ONE: "example" 8 lvl fighter/3 lvl rogue running a 12 lvl quest should die for even thinking about trying to disable a box. Ok really here it is, raise the formula for disabling traps and let someone that actually likes being a trap monkey feel valuable again.
Number TWO: Change the shades on the icons to reflect what type of monk you are or what type of wizard you are.
Number THREE: 100 favor points = 25 ddo points. How about 100 favor points = 50 ddo points
Number FOUR: If someone in your group is afk for half the quest the person with the star should get a message asking if they want to remove said member from party.
Number FIVE: If your the leader of a guild or a succsesor give them a cool symbol like you get if you reincarneate.

1) Add content that's between Inspired Quarter and Amrath in difficulty (to ease new players into endgame)
2) Add a new adventure pack that's tougher than Amrath (i.e. somewhat accessible on Casual/Normal, but you don't expect more than a couple of groups to have the quests done on Hard until several days after release, and Elite may be a long time indeed until we see completions).
3) Add new endgame raids
4) Add epic mode to more stuff - particularly Tempest's Spine, Stormcleave Outpost, Gwylan's Stand, the Gianthold preraid, Necro 4 and the three Crypts from Necro 1-3
5) Add PrE's that are missing, and once they are all done work on new classes.

Things I would like out of the Game Developers:
Complete all the Prestige enhancements you have on tap.
More Quests
More Spells
Better automated management of the information piped through a session. (Translation: Stop sending the combat info to people who are obviously lagging.)
More Classes
Things I would like out of the U.I. Developers:
The ability to move the ginormous and annoying “So-n-so wants you to join their party” message to the fracking chatbox.
The ability to make html links in chat that opens up the site in the my.ddo page.
Scalable toolbars
Things I would like from the Artists:
More Monsters
More props for Keeper to play with
More Armor Graphics
Better Character animations
More emotes
Things I would like from the Web Development staff:
Add more useful widgets to my.ddo
Give players more and more granular control over what’s publicly displayed on the my.ddo character sheet. (No one, except the player, should be able to parse their raid timer info from the character log.)
Stop being so anal retentive about the CSS I try and use in my blog posts.

Two things that drive me nuts constantly are the inventory system and the chat interface. Because they are used a lot. Inventory can not be organized it shuffles itself all the time. Also icons are very difficult to see. I find the scrolling interface at the vendor's much better to see things. There were chat add-ons for that other game like wim ( http://www.wimaddon.com/wiki/WIM:Screenshots) that popped up a little chat window when you got a private message. /r blah kind of grows tired after a while. Also would like a selectable hot key to pop up the chat window, finding and clicking it while running around is a bore. Hot bars could use some work as well sometimes they seem to have a mind of their own.

Find a way to make life after the level 20 wall fun and rewarding.
True Reincarnation has helped somewhat. Since it gives a few more months of gaming the same content again.
Able to run user content? Random generated explorer areas? Castle building? Persistant hirelings?
New content , races, guild housing and classes will certainly help alot. Though I do not have an answer to game longevity. I would like to see Turbine come up with something ground breaking and new.
Overall, just keep working hard like you have been this year. Its appreciated :)

1. Druids
2. Druids
3. Half Orcs
4. Gnomes
5. Fix ranged combat for everybody.
Fix Greater Teleport. ;)
4) Removing or Degrading the power of Greensteel // Replacement of greensteel crafting (Collectible crafting is ripe with potential) or allowing for 2 prefixes and 2 suffixes in higher level item drops
1) This would solve a lot of problems. Greensteel (in it's current form) was fine when it was THE endgame content. Now it is more monty haul than anything else. Overpowered for its level, which means the mobs need to be scaled to a ridiculous extent. It creates a big difference between those with and those without (and with reincarnation, people get them back at a much lower level than they'd normally get their first GS item).
2) Adding in more crafting with collectibles is also long overdue. Same for the soul stones from Trap.
3) Fix Reaver Refuge crafting. No one likes it.
4) Fix Reaver Refuge crafting. Everyone hates it.
5) Fix Reaver Refuge crafting. It isn't a necessary time sink anymore and everyone really truly despises it.

Balance the game more (encompasses everything).
Cross-server grouping. It's done wonders for that other game. The more groups someone can join in the more attractive and less dull the game will be for many, especially new players.

i dont want fights please
people say it all the time ... keep it civil and devs will respond so i am gonna put this to the test.
5) character customization options - we have seen hat skins and we have seen them get stupid expensive (bunny hats for 250 come on man that is silly pricing) when are we gonna see armor skins ... and when are we gonna see them drop in chests and not be store only items? armor dyes and crafting for looks alone ... have been big issues that have not been talked about in years cause people have given up on turbine giving answers ... this is the time give us good news :)
of course content and what not are also issues but I think they are outside of complaint list these days ...i expect an update that has any one of these things would still have content either missions or raids and what not aswell.
nice try, nice post. good intent was there, but......
the things you list are personal preference. gs handwraps(we have none, so it isnt broken).
Pre's. yes, need some work still. (palemasters, especially). still not game breaking.
classes. we have gotten fvs, and they are releasing half orcs. moot point, unless you want to ask for druids. still not game breaking.
races. meh. we have decent races, and should be a few more. still hardly game breaking.
now, those things listed are of a nature of personal choice. nothing you listed is GAME obstruction. my top things to ask to be fixed are just this...
client crashes upon zoning into the orchard, vale, desert, and gianthold.
fix ranged thrown weapons to be able to be repaired like everyone elses weps in the game.
von flagging process is broken. it is supossed to be permanent. it is not.
tod sets broken. some dont stack or work correctly. why grind for **** that dont work?
reincarnation is still a little screwy and misleading. and where are the +3 greater hearts already??!!
DA. the biggest joke ever. or at least the reason behind it.
ladder hitching. might have to fix one at a time, but its annoying as hell!
summoning. the nerf to summoning has broken it. i cant summon my scorrow from my deity on my fvs, and cant have a hezrou at the same time. they are 2 entirely different abilities. kinda like undying court getting a res every 10 minutes. pale masters still get their skellies, and can summon another. fvs cannot. 404error said it was being fixed months ago. lies, because no fix has implemented.
and of course, LAG, LAG, LAG!! monster AI, server population all add to this. but they can help calm it and they wont. lag causes spell misfires, targeting issues, and instant death. upgrade some more equipment already!! you think people are gonna stay for another 4 years with the lag consistently getting worse day by day? its worse than it ever was.
how about pages like bank and adventure tabs not loading? having to log in and out 2 or 3 times is annoying as hell.
i could go on and on, eventually getting to my personal wants like gs handwraps, and druids. but we have to ask for things that affect gameplay, not personal wants. you cant ask for quality when you are asking for quantity.

1. change the exp. rewards for some quests......seriously, theres a lot of them that are incredibly long and give ****y exp rewards
2. better "turbine points for favor" rewards.......25TP per 100 favor just doesnt get
F2P people far enough :(
3. change the level requirements of certain quests.....aka, proof is in the poison and the spawn of whisperdoom........they are much harder than is indicated by their level
4. wider variety of monsters......killing the same **** repeatedly gets boring......give us many more things to kill
5. introduce more "water subtype" monsters so that Horrid Wilting will be more useful :p
6. more character customization at creation.....able to change heights and physical builds instead of just the face
7. more auction posts in the AH for F2P people......not necessarily unlimited posts, but more than just 1 at a time
8. underwater combat :D
9. more wilderness areas for F2P's
10. introduce different level "arenas" in the tavern brawl......we dont all want to get massacre by the lvl 20 Greensteel Gods......its just painfully annoying......make it so that whe you go into the tavern brawl room you get sent into a arena that is of a level range that is more respectable than "lvl 1-6 person looks at lvl 15-20 and dies"

1. Remove Monks from the game.
2. Add dramatically more races and classes to the game. No Monk is not considered a class for this suggestion :D
3. Remove PrestigeEnhancements and instead add Prestigeclasses. (This would play Hand in Hand with number 2)
4. Fix Lag
5. Give us more options to solve Quests. In PnP the higher the level, the more options to do things. In DDO, the higher the level the LESS options you have to do things. this culminates in Epic quests where you have to kill nearly every mob and only DPS DPS DPS works. Boooooring.
6. More USEFULL Spells.
7. 'Balance' classes which have the same niche. Clerics <> Fvs and Wizard <> Sorcerer balacing needs some serious work. (Number 6 in my list is but one step on that way)
8. Fix bugs. Some are in this game for an awful amount of time (Ladderbug for example)
9. Better Quality control before releasing stuff. Or at least listen to the guys who actually TRY to test the Stuff on Lamannia. So far stuff which gets released there is mostly for a preview, not for testing. (Shade posted for example that it would be usefull to have a dramatically increased droprates/free choosing for Epicstuff there to actually take a look on that stuff. But well if you dont intend to listen to people this suggestion may be completely useless)
10. Listen to your crowd. the Debacle around the Pale Master clearly showed that you and the guys here in the forum are playing two different games.
Jens, wondering how many people will read on after my first point :D This game needs more Monkhate.

I've really enjoyed my DDO experience so far. I've only had one fun-killer but that was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling DDOclient. So, what I'm suggesting is to have more of the stuff that makes DDO my favorite game.
1. Tacticaly distinct monsters
My favorite monsters are the ones that act differently. I like how the minotaurs charge, how the oozes splosh down from the ceiling, and how the kobolds skitter around. If you have an idea about programing a personality, DO IT! :D
2. Tacticaly distinct fights
My favorite fights are the ones that are unusual. The Halls of Shan-to-kor has a cistern with a locked gate and a bunch of bugbears on the top. It's a nice break from the standard 2d battles. It feels almost like an entirely new game because of how differently these unusual battlefields play out. The battle on top of Tempest Spine is another great example of DDO being unexpected.
3. Tacticaly distinct casting
I have enjoyed running into Elite Kobolds (with Hold Person) and Beholders because their magic is so different from the run of the mill stuff. Comet fall is always fun to see for the first time on a new character. Consider making casters more thematic in their spell selection.
4. Tacticaly distinct caster AI
The caster AI in this game is quite dull. Why not give them some programing to give them a bit more personality? I mean, it's cute that the casters waste time casting a buff but how about giving them the brains to fight smarter?
5. VERTICAL SPACE!!!!
I love how tall and deep some of the levels are. More 3D dungeons please! :D

1 Less Grind
2 Less Grind
3 Less Grind
4 Less Grind
5 Less Grind
Cause I am happy that endgame is running the same quests 30+ times collecting epic tokens, scrolls and praying for seal and shard drops.

3. Give incentive to wear all types of armor - tired of seeing all kinds of half-plate, scale, banded mail with absolutely no reason to wear them. I would love a reason for my rogue to say "hey, I'd really like to get a suit of studded leather armor, it's perfect for my build." (my rogue breaks the 4th wall :D )
combine with the ability to reskin any type of armour as any other (or just have appearance armour that has no impact on stats, like LOTRO).. skins-wise my favourite are some of the colourful brigandines, i'd love to have that appearance on a monk... would also make for some fun "huh?" moments when you see a monk jumping around in full plate :)

Heres my list
1) more classes/prestige enhancements
2) lower the grinding - add options for people to trade raid tokens to craft epic loot
3) ranged combat - really stop and rethink the ranged system to make it a viable option
4) more spells - this will bring back clerics and wizards to the game
5) more content

1-10: fixing lag.
I can forgive almost everything else wrong with the game, but when the lag gets so bad the game is unplayable, that I can't handle. Especially the late night lag where the vendors and AH and bank suspiciously stop working, and movement rubberbands by several seconds, and not even the log out button works.

[QUOTE=Vua;2901992]I don't want to start a fight, but I'm having trouble saying this in a funny yet not insulting manner.
So are you going to give us the other 5 later or did you call out sick for 1st grade?:D
Yeah sorry i thought i got all the 10's
I decided 10 was a bit much for a dev to read and consentrate on so if i gave just he top 5 then it would be easier to compile a list of things people are happy about.
my bad i will update it to be 5 now thanks.

Don't think I'll put 5 but here I come:
1. Change DT "crafting" for the better (or at least fire whoever was responsible for that idea or the rune properties distribution)
2. Improve the AI. Really, a bigger challenge does not mean bigger HPs, and the static nature of many, many things in DDO makes it too easily predictable.
It is kind of sad when you see an orc run into the Lava in Gianthold when you are fighting him....
Also, it is sad that Dungeon Alert: Red only means mobs are going to hit you harder. Why not add Random mob generation? Why not spawn mobs hidden and randomized?
Even with AI meaning more lag, it could be related to a mob's Intelligence score - so maybe they'll know that they always should aim for casters first, healers are bad, and so on... a bit more of variety would be nice.
DT crafting so its not a press your luck no whammys STOP! style luck of the draw. My barbarian's armor has 150 mana and bonus AC - LOL I keep getting the same 2 runes. I bet someone else could use that AC or that mana...
Fix ranged combat. It needs to be able to hold its own with melee.
Monks - 14 shadow crypt runs, still no wraps. Solution: put metals like flametouched iron, cold iron, and silver into the random drop table for wraps. I am glad I am farming when I am the right level, because the xp in here rules.
Lag. It looks like no one is swinging a weapon but myself in the shroud, yet harry falls in one round. I am happy the population increased due to the new marketing, now lets get a few more servers up to support this.
DA. There are programmed encounters that trigger yellow or even red DA. This is lame as DA was created to curb zerging. Alot of the quests that have teleporting mobs are an issue with DA, also anything that aggros through walls. I would like to see DA done away with completely, as it doesnt work properly. Going into a large room with alot of mobs as being part of a quest triggers this even when the encounter is supposed to be of this proportion.

1) Fix lag. When there is lag/rubber banding on a constant level when you have excellent connections there is definitely a coding issue.
2)Add customization ability for all visible wearable items.
3)Get rid of Dungeon Alert -- it doesn't work!
4)I'd like to see druids added as a F2P class to boost the number of healers in-game.
5)Add an improved squelch to social window so you can see/modify/export/import said list.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but Turbine is most likely moving off of a 3 to 5 year plan. The development plans are already in motion, budgeted and scheduled. No list is going to make Turbine change their set course. This is quite evident based upon that we have been *****ing about new classes and races for 4 years and we have only seen FS to date. They have a plan and they are sticking with it.. for good or naught.... HOWEVER.. if i had my druthers :)
1. Druids baby. (yeah it will never happen but a guy can dream can't he?)
2. Greensteel HW
3. Auction House Searches
4. Make AC worth something again.
5. Throw out Dungeon Alert and shoot it in the street so that it doesn't come back.

1. Fix Lag -- I can't think of any game that has had such debilitating deficiencies in their 'premiere' content for so long.
2. Fix/Add PrEs -- Fix broken PrE features. Add PrEs to all the other classes that still need them.
3. Fix Monk itemization -- It's still seriously jacked up, particularly lack of some effects, but further messed up by the screwed up MLs on handwraps.
4. Fix DT crafting -- I find the system just embarassingly bad.
5. Fix Dungeon Alert -- I'm not aware of any other system anywhere that is even close to this ridiculous thing, but if you're going to have it, at least fix it so it works properly and doesn't impose itself during normal quest runs.

1. Crafting Feats - Isn't it time that a Caster can make their own Scrolls, Wands, Potions, etc. Forget about the nonsense 'Raid' crafting, and finally allow Spellcasters their due.
2. Ranged Fighting - Archers have been waiting for this since Launch (and I don't mean Free to Play Launch). Fix it already.
3. Finish the PREs (All of them) - Does this need anymore elaboration?
4. Add more Spells - and make ALL (including current ones in game) of them useful. Too many spells just aren't getting used or they get nerfed making them useless ( I am really thinking of the cool looking Cleric spells that started out good, but are now terrible).
5. Races and Classes that should have been in the game since Day 1 (and NOT Free to Play Day 1). - These include DnD Core Races (Even Eberron specific ones), like GNOMES, Half-Elves, Kalashtar (they're even referenced INSIDE the Game), etc. And Druids...
