Looking for ways to increase my To-Hit

I have a lvl 15 Paladin and I'm looking for ways to increase my to-hit attack bonus... yeah

25 STR = 16 base, +2 tome, +4 Item = 22 = +3 lvl ups = 25

+7 STR
+15 BAB
+1 Insight from goggles... Yes I'm still using them
+4 Weapon

= +27
I could +6 item... and +1 lvl up to get it up +2 more... but also that lvl up gets me another +1 BAB so +3 total

Divine Favor = another +3 luck

+5 item = another +1...

IIRC, the Spectral Gloves from Offering Of Blood (Demon Sands quest) add a +2 competence bonus to hit.

Umm... its not bad, really.

You do want a +6 STR item though.


Also, get a Heroism potion or a Greater Heroism clicke. Thats easy +2 or +4

There are few thing that should give you trouble to hit with a +27 at this level. The sole exception is Harry, but for him you should be very heavily buffed. GH at minimum will already raise you to +31.

Oh. Attacking mobs from behind help.

Also, don't forget the holy sword spell. +5 holy burst metalline.

But for me the GH from planar gird is the single most important thing.

Grab a weapon of improved destruction, and start out with it in hand.

Then switch to your usual wep after it lands.

That's the same as giving you an extra +8 to hit.

Flame me but Anger set works real well and will give you a +2 bonus to hit

I'd look for a Planar Gird (as has been stated already, drops in green room chest in Xorian Cypher, ~4% drop rate).

Then look for the +6 Str item (should be very cheap to buy a min level 15 one on your auction house, min level 11 and 13 ones are expensive).

Then consider looking for a set of Spectral Gloves (quite high drop rate, Offering of Blood, several different chests).

Finally, in future levels, consider hunting for the Breast Plate of Destruction in Hound of Xoriat, or a Sovereign Rune of Destruction in Stealer of Souls, or a Rahl's Might from Mindsunder.

sunder, improved sunder, destruction and improved, trip and improved, number of castr and cleric debuffs, quite a few number of magical buffs, Weapons that have pluses to hit the type of mob you are attacking (like bane and such).

Attack from flank or behind. Use crippling or slowburst to attack from flank or behind.

Dex stat damage weapons..

All these things lower the ac of the mob or increase your to hit.....lots of things, lots of thinking to do.
