My roomate and I have been contemplating possible TR combinations. We play a barb/pally combo (currently level 13) and are already quite sick of having to wait 30+ minutes to get a healer into the group (and then they're usually only partially competent). So we want to have at least one of us roll a healer the second time around (and the other will play pure sorc... can you spell 2-man elite shadow crypt? C: ).

I'm contemplating rolling a fvs, and I was wondering if 2 rng/18fvs or 6 rogue/2rng/12 fvs would be viable setups. I like the idea of having basic 2wf so i can hit one button and have 2 good DPS weapons, then hit the other and have healing/caster support items to make me a better healer. The reason I want some ranger levels is because that would give me twf without having to have the dex or spending a feat slot (which I need to save for healing feats and such). I'm also considering 2 rogue 18 fvs.. it would be very nice to say 'LF4M DPS,' get them, and be good to go on any quest. If i'm barking up the wrong tree, and there's already so better guides out for different combinations, please let me know. Thanks!

Edit: I've been looking at this guide.. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=199266
maximising BB dps seems a little more effective than half-@$$'ing melee DPS. lol. i dunno, there are a lot of options.

Unless you really want the bow feats as well, I'd say monk 2 is a better splash than ranger 2, since that gets you Evasion as well as extra feats & WIS AC boost. Rogue 2 / ranger 6 / FvS 12 might be an interesting build, but it definitely wouldn't be a primary healer and it sounds like that's what you're after. And bear in mind ranger 6 gets you ITWF free, but you would still need DEX 17 to get GTWF.

If you & your friend have Warforged, you might like to try a duo a friend and I just started: WF pure FvS Lord of Blades + WF rogue 2 / wizard 18. The FvS proves divine buffs, heals, and primary melee DPS w/greatsword; while the R / W provides trap skills, arcane buffs, spell DPS, repairs, and backstabbing. I'm guessing it will be really cool to be able to lay down Firewalls and Blade Barriers simultaneously then kite mobs back & forth through them. :-D EDIT: we're using modified versions of this build (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=211596) and this one (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=218205).
