the only -1 weapin in game, doubt theres anything worse

well, shuriken maybe, but thats not a melee weapon

The worst melee weapon is a low-plus weapon with no secondary effects on it.

I seem to recally a troll in the 3 Barrel Cove and near the fire in his cave was a strange weapon called an ember cudgel or something like that. If you died it dropped to the ground - and I seem to recall it was absurdly low damage too (but I may be wrong).

Anyone care to correct me?

And weren't there some moldy staves or something to that effect somewhere too?

In that case I would have to say it was blunt weapons due to there terrible crit threat range.
