hi folks,

i have a capped human caster/evoker FvS that i am thinking of rebuilding (reincarnating) to the following. Can i get comments on the viability. Looking to heal mostly and get in when i can with melee in elites/epics.

Going for the full TWF feat line on a non-splash favored soul looks a little too ambitious even if you are Human and don't wield an exotic. The biggest weakness IMO of this build is the lack of the quicken metamagic. Without quicken you won't be able to heal something like an epic demon queen reliably because no one can take 150 points of efreeti fireball damage and make a concentration check. Furthermore, your mass cures might not have enough "Oomph" with only empowered healing and no maximize. Finally, I think 14 starting charisma is a little too high on a melee-soul.

Also, I think your HP are low for epics. I suggest you try and break the 500 barrier in that regard If you have to lower dex a little and certainly lower CHA to an 11 or 12 and bump up CON instead. If you only want to help out melee every now and again, the best thing you can do IMO, with this build, is get yourself 2 tenderizers (for the +5, 5% weighted). Just use them without any TWF feats, you will be fine fully buffed. That way you can really help with the stuns and do ok dam while they are stunned. Quicken is essential!

if your not taking extend till lvl 18 do you really need it ?

otwf is not really necessary, yes it's nice but you can do without it.

quicken is a must, that way you want auto attack and use cures as needed

i never use mass cure critical on any of my clerics or fvs. worst heal to sp ratio of them all.

i have a similiar fvs, but is elf so one less feat i didnt' take gtwf but works out okay.

500, really? I do epics all the time on my FVS with 417 hit points and do fine. Granted she is a monk splash so has evasion, but I think as long as people are over the 400 mark with their gear there really shouldn't be much of a problem.

I do agree that Quicken is absolutely necessary.

Solid Advice.

1 or 2 points of CON is not critical. I always question people who recommend putting more points into COn to hit a "Critical" HP Theashold. The Most your going to se ein most cases is 20 more hit points... Hardly important when your looking at a Build capable of well over 400 as it stands.. Character planner HP's dont take into account Draconic Vitality, +6 Con Item, Minos, SHroud HP Items, GFL/SFL, +2/+3 Exceptional CON, Rage Pots/Spells, etc etc etc.....

as for the build..

OTWF is rarely needed, I personally find PA of marginal value in Epic on builds that are not Melee Focused. you often have to turn it off in order to increase your TO hit enough.

thanx. so inm a nut shell im seeing "remove OTWF and improved crit" feats. stick in quicken and maxmise. Use min II weapons.

I was going by what he posted. I never assume anything. I still reccomend breaking 500 HP if what you want to do is epics. however he gets there.

- Normally I would say dump-stat INT, but I can't decide where to put those extra points. Don't really need extra DEX - WIS maybe?
- I would drop OTWF for another metamagic like Maximize, Heighten, or Quicken. Can't decide if PA or another metamagic is more useful.
- Most folks will tell you to get Blade Barrier, even with WIS as a dump stat. However, when you say "capped," I presume you mean you're Lesser Reincarnating a lvl 20 FvS, yes? If so, I don't know if BB is still useful at endgame with your WIS & feats.

Otherwise looks like a fairly solid buffer / healer melee FvS.
