PUG leveling a caster FvS

I've recently convinced myself that I want to make a pure caster FvS but I'm not in a guild and im finding that PUG action for a "healer/backup-caster" is some of the slowest leveling going. It seems that 3/4 parties either struggle or kill so slowly that I get nowhere.

Am I missing something or is low level PUGing for the non-dps'r really this miserable?

Life will continue to suck... until you get bladebarrier. Then you can pretty much just solo your way to 20 if you are so inclined.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I am going to TR a Sorc into a Fvs. I'm going to put all my starting points into str/dex/con except 12 cha. I intend to solo to 12 using TWF and self healing. At level 12 (just in time for blade barrier) I am going to LR, switch to a pure caster build and solo some more with Blade barrier until I get bored.

Ahhh...the low levels are very harsh these days...many new players still learning the ropes. Find a guild or solo if u want to speed things up.

Once u get to 13+ this will start to clear up some.

one of my first characters was a caster fvs that I leveled unguilded and mostly solo. Started with 12 str. Even as a caster, could do tangleroot, then with divine power was able to solo Deleras, the at level 10 started doing cult of 6 with a hireling. I think level 11 was slow, but did alright. A few PUGs here and there.

Don't you lose out on your spells picks? Or is this not a problem for divine casters. I thought there was a bug where wizards lost all their free spell picks (if they did lesser before lvl 20), but perhaps that wouldn't effect the FvS because they technically get all the spells.
