Hi,
I am looking for a ranged Rogue and Sorcerer or Wizard build...
(Rogue/Sorcerer or Rogue/Wizard)
Is there any build available?
Is a ranged Rogue and Sorcerer or Wizard even possible?
What I am thinking is to create a Rogue Wizard or Sorcerer just for buffs and wall of fires. The Rogue will be is main job but I would like to have Wall of Fire as soon as possible (to help in the combats) and still be able to do what Rogues do (disable traps, open locks and so on).
It wont be using offensive spells (besides the wall of fire) and the Wizard/Sorcerer will go to lvl 7/8 to access Wall of Fire only.
Any tips/pointers welcome,
Thanks

Uhm... talking about a 12 rog - 8 sorc or 13 rog - 7 wiz .....
Possible (meaning: can I build it?): yes.
Effective: hardly.

With only 7-8 arcane caster levels your buffs will be poor (short duration, your elemental resistance spell will only provide 20 pts resistance and so on) and the damage output of your wall of fire quite low.

Rogues deal pain and sorrow ..... and when they have some spare time, disable traps and open locks.... *grins*
There are a few ranged rogue builds, mainly "repeaters" builds, but ranged combat is not the best options for rogues: in order to deliver sneak-attacks with ranged or throwing weapons, rogues must be very close to targets. I.e. rogues usually do better with 2 masterwork daggers than with bows or throwing weapons.

There is better synergy between wizard and rogue classes than between sorcerer and rogue. You will find several 18 wizard - 2 rogue builds: full rogue skills, (almost) full casting capability, Evasion, healing through UMD skill if non-warforged.
Deeper multiclassing is not advisable for beginners.

Trying to get say 7 levels of Wiz only for WoF is usually a bad idea. By the time you get access to it, you'll most likely be reaching the levels where WoF is not that great anymore, especially with only 7 caster levels.
