Hi fellow DDO players.

I am fairly new to DDO and have some questions regarding some Sorcerer gear.

I currently have an improved inferno mace (3 minute clicky for 30% increase fire damage of x level and lower spells) on my main hand.
On my right hand I have a greater fire lore mace (9% chance to crit, 0.5 increase crit multiplier).

My first question is does the Combustion enhancement (is this the right word to use?) on certain equipment stack with the inferno clickie? Upon reading the tooltip I would say no but although they are the same effect they do come from two different enhancements.

My second question is if you guys think the current set is favorable. I have seen Combustion on other equipment and if it doesn't stack would it not be better to leave both hands free for say a spell penetration or the improve maximize quarterstaff (I think its called the Arcane Stick).

Thirdly, I was also wondering if the effects such as fire lore show up on things other than weapons because if it does I think it would be better to leave the hands free and just buy equipment for other slots.

Thanks again for reading and I wait in anticipation for your answers!

I would look for a potency item to go with your fire lore. Just make sure your potency item covers the spell levels you cast.

Ah i forgot about potency. Does that mean a more ideal situation would be to grab a potency item for my main hand to go with my fire lore in my other hand. Then grab a combustion or inferno clickie in another piece of equipment to maximize my damage?
