hey, i dont play on your server but i feel its bad to categorize pugs. i used to feel that pugs were lousy and ****** etc... but then i realized that im part of the pug too.

yes, sometimes we might get new players who dont play up to par, why dont we teach them or tell them what they are doing wrong?

no one is born a good player. educating them would help improve the situation instead of just complaining about it.

unfortunately that is not always true. while most time, yes i will agree with you; however, there are occassions were someone will do the absolute opposite of being told out of spite because that is just who they are. example? could have the absolutely best leader for shroud or VoD, but if someone runs immediately into the center in part 2 of the shroud while everyone else was still shrining; extremely difficult to compensate for that. Fighting all 4 names and the trash at the same time, is a party wipe, especially with the current state of lag.

Since I have yet to join a guild all I do is PUGs and its been my experience that about 80% of them have been good runs 15% have been excellent and 5% have been awful.

This is the norm. Some people just have better luck and finding quality pugs, while others seems to just find the bad apples.

Ever notice that there is one common element to people who always seem to find bad PUGs? That thread is... the person who complains about bad PUGs. Perhaps it wasn't the other players in the group that were "bad", but the person how comes to the forums to cry about "no skill" free-to-plays who screws things up. Of course this person will never admit to being sub-par (even to themselves) so they blame it on the most opportune scapegoat. They will also not admit that their guildmates or friends can be idiots, so they are quick to blame someone who they believe is weaker than themselves.

Case in point. My paladins last Hound group we had a ranger who almost killed one of the small dogs because he wasn't paying attention to where he was swinging his swords. Being an intimidate tank I run up, hit intimidate, and start dragging the puppy back to the center. Now this whole time I haven't even swung a weapon so the only damage the dog takes is from my Levicks sonic guard. Instead of a "thanks" or even silence, I get the raid leader yelling at me for "messing with the dog". Apparently it was easier for him to chew me out being a guildless PUG than admit that the ranger was kind of an idiot.

Given this, is it any wonder that some free-to-plays seem to not give a rip what the "vets" think about them, their characters, or how they play? If people are going to **** you as a Leroy without reason, might as well act like it and get some fun making the self-centered arrogant donkey have a coronary.

Personally, I live by Brenna's standard: "If you have to talk about how ewber you are, you must be trying to distract people from the truth of the matter."

PuGs dont kill people. Bad leaders do.

If you are in a PuG that is "bad" speak up and let them know - without swearing - I know it is difficult sometimes ;) - what they are doing wrong. Normally they will either thank you or get defensive.
